It provides two-year full-time B.Ed. course to students, who want to brighten their careers in teaching.  The eligibility required for this course is graduation in any stream with 50% marks in aggregate for those who want to become TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher). The eligibility for PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) is post graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks. Candidates are selected on the basis of marks obtained by them in the written test. This college was established in 1932 and is affiliated to University of Delhi. It is a women’s university that lies at a distance of 72 km from Jaipur. It is close to Newai town. As far as its B.Ed course is concerned, it is of two years duration and students must have completed graduation in any stream with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The admission to this course is very tough as the university conducts a merit cum aptitude test to provide admission in B. Ed. course. Merit list of candidates is made giving 50% importance to marks obtained in the aptitude test by candidates and 50% to the marks obtained by candidates in qualifying examination. Thus, candidates preparing for the entrance examination of B. Ed. course of this university need to work very hard.

Lady Shri Ram College for Women, New Delhi

It is a women’s college affiliated to the University of Delhi. It was set up in 1956 by the late Sir Shri Ram in memory of his wife. It is spread over 15 acres of land in South Delhi. It has near about 2000 students and more than 150 faculty, support staff and administrative members. It is an arts and commerce college and has been ranked as the number on in Arts, Commerce and Mass Communication by India Today.  In terms of B.Ed. course, it provides a one-year full-time course to students.  The eligibility criterion for this course is graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or college with 50% marks. The college gives relaxation of 5% marks to SC/ST students. It is very famous with regard to both academic and extracurricular achievements.

 Apeejay STYA University, Gurgaon

It is a co-educational university, which is located in Sohna, Gurgaon Haryana, India. The amazing thing about it is that it is the first Meta and Liberal Arts University in India. It is an important part of the Apeejay Education Society. It was set up in the year 2010. It offers a large array of graduate, postgraduate and doctoral level programmes. The B. Ed. course provided by it is of two years duration and any graduate or postgraduate with 50% marks in aggregate in Social Sciences/Humanities can apply for it. Andhra University College of Arts & Commerce, Visakhapatnam

It is the oldest university with many departments—computer science, chemistry, life sciences, marine engineering etc. It provides 50 courses that cover various disciplines such as Humanities, Commerce and Management Studies, Arts, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Languages and Education etc. The college has 1894 full-time students, 412 research scholars, 200 Part-Time Students, 140 administrative and supporting staff and 237 teachers.  It is a college with a teacher-student ratio of 1:9. B. Ed. is one of the courses that it provides to students. The duration of this course is two years and the total fee is 40, 000. Candidates applying for this course must have 24 months experience as the in-service teacher. 

St. Xavier's College of Education, Patna

It is a self-financed co-educational college in Patna. Its foundation was laid in 1988 and is rechristened after a Spanish Jesuit saint, St. Francis Xavier, who belonged to 16th century. It is approved by NCTE (the National Council for Teacher Education). It has been given ‘A’ grade by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). It provides both B.Ed and M.Ed courses to teaching aspirants. The duration is two years for both courses. It has a big campus, where various facilities are provided to students— Hostel, Medical, Canteen, Gym, Laboratories and Library.  

Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar

It is a private university located in Jalandhar Punjab. It was set up in the year 2005 by Lovely International Trust. Right now, it is the largest single-campus university in the country. It is recognized by UGC (University Grants Commission), NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education) and COA (Council of Architecture) and approved by PCI (Pharmacy Council of India).  Apart from this, it is accredited by ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs). It offers B.Ed. the course of two years duration and its total cost is ₹ 1.18 Lakh. The eligibility criterion is graduation or and post graduation in Social Sciences, Sciences, Commerce or Humanity. There is 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC etc.

Christ University, Bangalore

It is a private university whose foundation was laid in 1969. It is declared a deemed university under section 3 of UGC Act 1956 by HRD, Government of India. It imparts education to more than 18, 000 students and has over 800 faculty members. It provides education in various fields—Sciences, Education, Engineering, Commerce, Management etc. When it comes to B.Ed., it provides a two-year course that comprises 4 semesters with an internship during the third semesters. The candidates applying for this course should have passed degree examination conducted by any recognized university either in India or abroad with at least 50% marks. The total fee for this course is 1.35 Lakh.
