West Bengal ITI Admission 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

As mentioned above, the company council doesn't conduct any entrance exam for ITI admissions in the state. Thus, there are no details for the exam pattern and syllabus.

West Bengal ITI Admission 2022 Eligibility

Candidates must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The eligibility conditions are as under:

Nationality

Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply for the admission process.

Domicile

Candidates must have a domicile of West Bengal.

Age Limit

Must have completed 17 years of age as of 1st August 2022. There is no upper age limit.

Qualification

For ‘E’ Group - Candidates must have passed class 8th. The headmaster of the respective school must authenticate the marks secured by the candidate in the class 8th final exam.

For ‘M’ Group - Candidates must have passed class 10th from a recognised board with a minimum of 35% marks.

Note: Those appearing in class 8th or 10th examination are also eligible to apply for the admission process.

Applications for the West Bengal ITI admission process are to be submitted online mode. Here are the detailed steps for form submission.

Steps for WB ITI 2022 Application Submission

• Go to the official website at https://wbscvt.org/.
• Click on the registration link for ITI 2022-23 Admission.
• Read the instructions carefully and provide the basic details, viz. Name, mobile number, email id, etc. On submitting the details, your application number will appear on the screen.
• Login using the application number and password to complete the application form.
• Provide details such as the parent’s name, address, date of birth, category, education qualification, etc.
• Upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature. The documents must be in jpg/ jpeg format. Make sure the scanned images meet the specifications.
• After successfully uploading the documents, you will be redirected to the fee payment page.
• Make the fee payment using a debit card/ credit card/ net banking.
• Check all the details carefully before final submission.
• Submit the form finally and take a print of the same for future reference.

Trades Under West Bengal ITI Admission Groups

The ITI Admissions are conducted for two groups - E and M. The trades under these groups are:

West Bengal ITI Admission 2022 Merit List

• The council will release the West Bengal ITI Admission merit list online at the official website.
• Merit lists are prepared based on the marks in the respective qualifying exam.
• Separate merit lists will be released for Group ‘E’ and ‘M’ trades.
• Candidates can check their merit rank in the merit list.
• Those who make it to the list will be qualified for the counselling process.

WB ITI Admission Seat Allotment 2022

• After the merit list is released, qualified candidates are required to complete the online choice filling process by entering their preferences for trades and institutes.
• The choices can be filled out after logging in using the mobile number and date of birth.
• The choices are to be locked for the seat allotment process.
• A confirmation SMS will be sent to the candidate's registered mobile number after locking the choices.
• Further, seat allotment will be done based on the merit rank and choices filled by the candidates.
• After the seat allotment result is declared, download the allotment letter and report at the allotted college on the specified date.

West Bengal ITI 2022 Counselling/ Admission Process

After the seat allotment, candidates must report to the allotted college for document verification and other admission formalities. Allotted seats will be confirmed only when the student reports in person on the specified date.
