UPCET 2023: Application Process(Soon), Exam Dates(Out), Pattern, Syllabus, Result, and Counselling
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has renamed the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) as Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (UPCET) through an official announcement on 25th March 2021. The exam will be conducted for admission to UG and PG level courses offered by institutes affiliated to Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Madan Mohan Malviya University of Technology (MMMUT), Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), and some other state universities. However, candidates must note that admission to Engineering courses will be made via JEE Main, and Architecture courses will be done via NATA and other UG and PG Courses through CUET. The UPCET (UPSEE) exam has been discontinued for these courses. - The UPCET 2023 application form will be released in April 2023 for CUET PG Courses.
- The UPCET 2023 exam date has been announced for CUET UG Courses. The dates are between the 21st to 31st of May 2023.

UPCET 2023 Syllabus
The syllabus for different courses is mentioned in the Information Brochure released on the official websites of participating universities, i.e., MMMUT, AKTU, and HBTU. Candidates can check the syllabus from the respective official websites.
UPCET Exam 2023 Eligibility
To appear for the UPCET 2023 Exam, candidates should fulfill the below eligibility criteria-
Nationality
- The candidate should be a citizen of India.
- NRI, Foreign Nationals, PIO (People of Indian Origin), and Kashmiri migrants are also eligible to apply.
Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for the UPCET exam.
Educational Qualification
Educational qualifications differ for different courses covered under the UPCET 2023 exam. Those appearing/appearing in the qualifying exam and waiting for the result are also eligible to apply for the exam. Other eligibility conditions are as under:

For admission to the first year of MCA in any institution affiliated with AKTU, Lucknow
Passed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering/ BCA or equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ ST).
OR
Passed B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics at graduation or 10+2 level, scoring at least 50% (45% for SC/ ST) aggregate marks.

UPCET Exam 2023 Application Process
The UPCET 2023 application process will start in April 2023 for the UG and PG courses. The applications are to be submitted only online via the official website. Candidates are required to submit only one application fee. However, they can apply for more than one course through a single application form. Two application forms are available on the official website - one for UG courses and one for PG courses. Candidates are advised to choose the forms correctly.
Things Required for Filling the UPCET 2023 Application Form
- Valid Government ID Proof (Aadhaar Card/ Passport/ Election Card/ Ration Card/ PAN Card/ Bank Account Number/ Others
- Date of Birth as mentioned on the class X certificate
- Educational Qualification details
- Scanned image of the passport-size photograph in JPG/JPEG format. The size of the image must be between 10 KB and 200 KB. The photo can be either black & white or colored (without a mask)
- Scanned image of signature in JPG/ JPEG format. The size of the scanned image must be between 4 KB and 30 KB.
- Exam city choices
- Bank account details for fee payment
- Valid Email Id
- Valid Mobile Number
Steps to Fill the UPCET 2023 Application Form
- Visit the official website and click on the link for application submission.
- Provide the personal details asked for and set a password. Submit the details for completing the registration process.
- On successful registration, you will receive a system-generated application number. This application number and created password are your login credentials for all future correspondence.
- Now, log in again using the credentials to complete the remaining application process.
- Enter details such as date of birth, city of examination, educational qualification, etc.
- Upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature in the respective fields. Ensure the scanned images are as per the specifications, as there will be no option for correction at later stages.
- Make the fee payment using a Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI/ Paytm.
- After successful fee payment, a confirmation page will generate.
- Take a print of the same.
UPCET Application Fee
Candidates must pay the application fee as per the category they belong to. Please note that the fee amount mentioned below excludes taxes or service charges. Candidates have to bear these charges themselves. The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable.

UPCET Exam 2023 Other Details
UPCET 2023 Admit Card
UPCET 2023 admit card will be uploaded on the official website 15 days before the examination. Admit cards will be issued only to those who have submitted their completed application form before the last date. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website using their login credentials. It will have details related to the exam center, date, and timings. Any request for changes in the exam date, center, and timings will not be considered. No candidate can appear for the examination without the admit card. Candidates are required to carry the following items to the exam center:
- Admit Card
- Self Declaration downloaded from NTA’s website
- ID Proof
- A transparent ballpoint pen
- Additional photograph (passport size - to be pasted on the attendance sheet)
- Transparent water bottle
- Hand sanitizer (50 ml)
- Sugar tablets/ fruits, only for diabetic candidates
Unable to Download the Admit Card?
“In case a candidate cannot download Admit Card from the website, the candidate should approach the NTA Helpline 011 4075 9000 between 10.00 am and 05.00 pm from Monday to Saturday or write to NTA at [email protected],” as per the official notification.
UPCET 2023 Answer Key
After the completion of the exam, NTA will release the provisional answer key for the exam and will provide an option to the candidates to challenge the answer key. The challenges against the answer key can be submitted on payment of ₹ 200 per challenge. This fee will be non-refundable. After considering the challenges submitted, the final answer key will be released. The result will be prepared based on the UPCET 2023 final answer key.
UPCET 2023 Result
As mentioned above, the UPCET 2023 result will be compiled based on the final answer key. The result will be uploaded on the official website. Information about the result declaration will also be given via the candidate’s email and SMS on the candidate's registered email ID and mobile number, respectively. The 2023 result will remain valid only for the current year admissions, i.e. 2023-24 academic year.
UPCET 2023 Score Cards
Candidates can download their UPCET 2023 scorecards using their login credentials. No scorecard will be dispatched to any candidate.
UPCET 2023 Merit List
NTA will also prepare separate merit lists for each course. The merit list will be handed over to AKTU/ MMMUT for the counselling process.
