UPRTOU B.Ed Entrance Test 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

The UPRTOU B.Ed entrance exam comprises of two sections/ parts:

• Part A: General Mental Ability and General Awareness
• Part B: Teaching Aptitude and Understanding in two Teaching Subjects

Multiple choice questions will be asked from both sections. Each section will have 100 questions. The weightage of topics in each section is mentioned under:

Total Questions - 200

Total Marks - 200

Total Duration - 3 hours

Medium of Question Paper - English

Exam Day Instructions -

• Candidates must be present in their seats 20 minutes before the exam commencement time.
• 30 minutes after the exam commencement, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall.
• Carry a black ballpoint pen to the exam center for marking the responses.

UPRTOU B.Ed Syllabus

Part A

This section will test the candidate’s general awareness of history, Geography, Politics, Science, Culture, Literature, Education, Economics, Environment, etc. In addition, the mental ability will be tested through questions on problem-solving skills, verbal and numerical ability, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, etc.

Part B

Questions will be asked to test the candidate's teaching aptitude from topics such as teaching objective, basic requirements, learner’s characteristics, factors affecting teaching, evaluation system, teaching aids, methods of teaching, etc. Candidates have to choose two subjects from Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. Questions will be asked from the selected subjects.

UPRTOU B.Ed Entrance Test 2022 Eligibility

Before filling the application form, candidates are advised to carefully check the eligibility criteria and ensure that they fulfil the same. Eligibility conditions are mentioned under:

• Candidates from Uttar Pradesh completing a teacher education programme through the face to face mode. The programme must be recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

OR

• Trained teachers working in a primary school in the state.

AND

• Those who have secured a minimum of 50% marks in Bachelor/ Master of Science/ Social Sciences/ Humanities degree are eligible for the program.
• Those with engineering or any other technical degree specializing in science and mathematics with at least 55% marks are eligible.
• AND
• Those who have passed graduation level examination with two subjects or one subject in graduation and one in class 12th level. The subjects are - English, Hindi, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Mathematics, Commerce, Economics, Geography, History, Political Science, Home Science, Psychology, and Sociology.

Note: The qualification must be completed as of 1st July 2022.

The application process for the UPRTOU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2022 will be online. Candidates can easily apply through the official website. The university provided ample time for the submission of applications without any late fees. Steps for Filling the UPRTOU B.Ed Application Form 2022

• Visit the official website at http://www.uprtou.ac.in.
• Click on the B.Ed./ B.Ed. SE Entrance Exam Application Form 2022 link.
• Provide the information to complete the registration process. On successful registration, log in using your registered email Id and password.
• Complete the application form with parents’ name, date of birth, course name, category, nationality, etc.
• Upload the scanned images of your recent passport size photograph and signature in JPG/ JPEG format.
• Make application fee payment through online mode.
• After successful fee payment, a confirmation email will be sent to your registered mobile number and email ID for payment confirmation.
• After this, candidates must take a print of the confirmation page.

• Admit cards for the UPRTOU B.Ed exam will be uploaded on the official website one week before the exam.
• The admit card will have the test center address, test time, date, candidate’s information, and exam day instructions.
• Candidates can download the admit card using their login credentials.

UPRTOU B.Ed 2022 Entrance Exam - Result

• UPRTOU B.Ed entrance exam results will be released on the University's official website.
• The result is announced in a merit list wherein the candidate's roll number, name, and merit rank are mentioned.
• The admissions will be done based on the merit rank.

UPRTOU B.Ed 2022 Entrance Exam - Counselling

• After the result declaration, the counselling process will be held at the selected centers as per the schedule.
• The information regarding the counselling process will be mentioned on the official website.
• Candidates are required to report at the counselling center with a counselling letter, scorecard, and other documents (in original and photocopy).
• Candidates must also carry the bank demand draft for the course fee. The course fee is ₹ 16,000 per year.
• The Demand Draft must be made in favor of ‘Finance Officer, UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Prayagraj’ from any nationalized bank.
