Introduction: Evolution and Generation of Computers, History, Organization of Computer system, Algorithm, Number System, Flowchart, Peripheral Devices, Hardware and Software. 

PC Software and Office Automation: Electronic Data Interchange, Graphic User Interface, Graphics, Office System and Procedure, Storage, Electronic Capture and the need for office automation.

Database Management System: Basic Concepts of Database, Popular Database Management System- FoxPro and Oracle with SQL, Relational Data Model, Database Concepts, File Management System, Data organization, etc. 

Computer Networks: Network topology, Types of networks, WAN, MAN, LAN, Risk assessment, security measures and security issues. 

Workplace Productivity Tools: Electronic spreadsheets, Word Processing Tools, Electronic presentation tools, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Open Office, Exchange of Files across these platforms and usage of Windows, Unix and Unicode Fonts in English and official Indian languages. 

Emerging Technologies and Web Publishing: Operating System Windows, Green Computing, Mobile Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Unix/Linux, Banking and e-commerce application, JavaScript, HTML, Computer-controlled devices and Application Software.

The Internet: Search Engines, Uses of the internet, Working with the internet, e-commerce, e-mail, e-learning and e-banking.

UPCO Exam 2022 Eligibility

Candidates applying for the UP Police computer operator job need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

• Nationality

Candidates should be citizens of India. Apart from this, Candidates, whose forefathers migrated to India from Tibet before 1962 with an intention of settling here on a permanent basis, are also eligible.

• Age

The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 28 years, calculated on 1st July 2022. There is relaxation in age by 5 years for SC/ST and OBC category candidates.

• Educational Qualification

Candidates should have passed Intermediate (XII) with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from any recognized board and have ‘O’ level certificate or any equivalent certificate recognized by Government.

The application process for UP Police CO will begin tentatively in July 2022. Candidates can fill the application form through online mode. It is advised to fill the application form well before the last date to avoid last-minute rush.

• A page will appear on the screen, where you need to enter your application number and date of birth
