TS PGECET Exam Pattern

TS PGECET 2023 exam will be conducted in online mode as a computer-based test. 120 multiple-choice questions will be asked in the exam. Each question will be of one mark. There is no negative marking in the exam. Candidates are required to answer the questions in 120 minutes. Questions will be asked from the subject opted by the candidates. Here are the highlights.

The syllabus for TS PGECET 2023 is prescribed by the exam conducting authority. The syllabus for each paper is different. Candidates can download the official syllabus pdf from the website as per the paper they have applied for.

TS PGECET 2023 Eligibility

Nationality

• The candidate must be an Indian resident.

Domicile

• Candidates must have domicile of Telangana/Andhra Pradesh state.
• Must meet the local/non-local status requirements as laid down in the regulations of admission.

Educational Qualification

• Must have obtained 50% (45% for reserved categories) marks in the qualifying exam (graduate level). Those in the final year/ semester will also be eligible for the entrance exam.

NOTE: GATE qualified candidates of 2021, 2022, and 2023 are also eligible for PG admissions. However, such candidates have to respond to a separate notification, TS PGEC 2023.

TS PGECET 2023 Application Process

The application forms for the TS PGECET 2023 are yet to be announced. 

• Go to the official website at https://pgecet.tsche.ac.in/.
• Click on the ‘Fill Application Form’ link under the ‘Application’ section.
• Firstly, candidates are required to make fee payments. Click on the ‘Click Here’ link in the NOTE section.
• Enter the details asked for and make the fee payment.
• On successful fee payment, you will receive a payment reference ID.
• Now again, go to the home page and click the ‘Fill Application Form’ option.
• Now enter the payment reference ID, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number, and date of birth to access the application form.
• Click the ‘Proceed to Fill Application’ button and start filling out the application form.
• Check the entire form carefully before final submission.

Documents to be Uploaded

Scanned images of the following documents in JPG/ JPEG format are to be uploaded while filling out the application form:

• Recent, colored, passport-size photograph of the candidate in file size less than 50 KB.
• Signature on white plain paper with blue/ black-colored pen in file size less than 30 KB.

Application Fee

The application fee is to be paid using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking/ TS online/ AP online.

TS PGECET 2023 Other Details

TS PGECET 2023 Exam Centers

The TS PGECET 2023 exam will be held at the following two regions:

• Hyderabad
• Warangal

The exact address of the test center will be mentioned on the admit card.

TS PGECET 2023 Admit Card

• TS PGECET 2023 Admit Cards will be released through the official website.
• The last date for downloading the admit cards will be released on the official website.
• Candidates are advised to download their hall tickets well in time and not to delay till the last minute.
• No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall without a hall ticket.

TS PGECET 2023 Answer Key

TS PGECET 2023 answer key will be released on the official website.

No login is required to access the answer key.

At first, preliminary answer keys are released and candidates are provided with the option to raise objections against the same.

After considering the objections, the final answer key is released.

Separate answer keys are released for all papers.

TS PGECET 2023 Cut-Off Marks

The minimum qualifying marks in the exam are known as cut-off marks.

The university has set the cut-off marks for TS PGECET 2023 as 30 marks. However, for those belonging to SC/ ST category, there is no minimum marks criterion.

TS PGECET 2023 Result

• The TS PGECET 2023 result will be released in the form of a rank card on the official website.
• The result/ rank card can be downloaded using the hall ticket number, registration number, and date of birth.
• The scorecard will have details of marks, rank, percentile secured, and qualifying status, along with other basic information.

TS PGECET Counselling

• TS PGECET 2023 counselling process will be conducted for admission to various courses.
• Qualified candidates are required to complete the registration process and pay the counselling fee for participating in the counselling process.
• After registration, candidates must fill in their preferred choices for courses and colleges.
• The seat allotment will be done based on the merit rank, seat availability, and choices locked by the candidate.
