The Tamil Nadu Teaching Eligibility Test (TNTET) is conducted by the Teachers Recruitment Board, Tamil Nadu for the students of the state. TNTET Exam 2022 Pattern & Syllabus
This state-level exam will be conducted on two different levels i.e. Paper 1 (Primary Stage) and Paper 2 (Upper Primary Stage) through offline (Pen-Paper) mode only. Students have to complete both papers within the duration of 3 hours (each). TNTET Exam 2022 Eligibility
As per the officials of Teachers Recruitment Board, the standards of eligibility are briefing down-below:
Age Limit:
- An apprentice must belong to the age group of 18 to 40 years old.
- There will be age relaxation criteria as per decided by the State Govt. rules and regulations.
Academic Background:
For Paper 1 Exam-
- Students who completed their +2 studies with a Diploma in Teacher Education or Diploma in Elementary Education (in BTC Urdu) from a recognized teaching training institute.
Or
- Should complete DIET in order to eligibly apply for Secondary Grade Teacher for Classes I to V.
- Appearing young fellows of D.E.Ed/ B.Ed degree can also apply for the exam.
For Paper 2 Exam-
- Class 12th passed students with B.Sc./ B.A./ B. Lit. Degree with subjects such as English, Physics, Tamil, Chemistry, Mathematics, History, Botany, Geography, and Zoology as major subjects from a recognized university can apply.
- Students who want to apply for Graduate Teacher must complete their B.Ed degree from a recognized university.
- Apprentices with B.Lit., (Tamil) degree must have either D.T.Ed. or B.Ed. or TPT.
TNTET Exam 2022 Application Process
Students who want to participate in the yearly summit of Tamil Nadu Teaching Eligibility Test 2022 can complete the submission process through an online medium. Apprentices who fulfil the eligibility norms can submit their form as per the steps mentioned below-
- Open the official web portal of TNTET 2022 Exam.
- New users need to register themselves first, simply by clicking on the ‘Registration’ tab.
- Once the registration process is completed, select your exam (Paper 1/ Paper 2/ Both).
- Now, enter your personalized details such as Name, Contact details, Academic Qualifications, and much more.
- After this, upload a copy of important documents and pay the examination fee via online mode (Credit/ Debit Card or Net Banking) and submit your form.
Note: The images will be uploaded in a JPG/PNG/JPEG format only. For Photograph the size of the image should be 20-60 KB while for the Signature image the size must be 10-30 KB.
TNTET 2022 Application Fee
The TNTET 2022 examination fee carries an amount of ₹ 500 (for General and others) and ₹ 250 (for SC, SCA, ST and PwD). Students who wish to appear for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 need to pay the application fee separately.
TNTET Exam 2022 Other Details
TNTET 2022 Hall Ticket
The recruitment board will update the TNTET Admit Card window 2 weeks before the commencement of the exam. For downloading the hall ticket for the exam, an apprentice needs to follow these below-mentioning steps-
- Visit the official website- trb.tn.nic.in.
- Click on the ‘TNTET 2022’ tab and open it.
- Now, select the ‘TNTET 2022 Admit Card’ link and read all the instructions very carefully.
- After this, enter your registered credentials and download your TNTET 2022 Hall Ticket.
TNTET 2022 Results
The Tamil Nadu Teachers Recruitment Board will announce the result on the official website tentatively in the last week of June 2022. Candidates can check their results by logging into the official website. According to the officials, candidates who score 60% or more marks in both exams are considered a qualifier for the exam.

TNTET 2022 Answer Keys
TNTET 2022 answer keys will be made available on the official website. Candidates who have appeared in both the exams (Paper 1 and Paper 2) are advised to check the TNTET Answer Keys only through online mode. The board will declare the preliminary answer key for Tamil Nadu Teaching Eligibility Test first and then the final answer key for the same will be released later with the result.

TNTET Exam Frequently Asked Questions
TNTET also known as Tamil Nadu Teaching Eligibility Test is a state-level entrance test conducted to appoint skilled teachers for Primary (class 1st to 5th) and Upper Primary Level (Class 6th to 8th) Schools.
The TNTET 2022 Paper 1 and Paper 2 dates will be announced soon.
The TNTET certificate is valid for the complete duration of 7 years from the declaration of result announcement date.
An apprentice needs to qualify the +2 studies with a B.Ed or NTT degree.
The TNTET 2022 Hall Ticket will be available two weeks before the commencement of the exam on the official website.
The exam will consist of two sections Paper 1 and Paper 2. All the questions asked in the exam will be objective type and will conclude in 3 hours for each paper.
Students belonging to the General and Others category need to submit an amount of ? 500, whereas, SC/ST/SCA/PwD category students need to submit ? 250 for the exam.
For each correct answer, a candidate will score 1 mark on both papers while there is no negative marking scheme in this exam.
