SSC JHT exam 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

Prior to taking the exam, it is important for candidates to familiarize themselves with the SSC JHT 2022 exam pattern. Here are the details:

  • The SSC JHT 2022 exam will comprise two papers—Paper I and Paper II of 200 marks each.
  • In Paper I, there will be 100 questions each from General English and General Hindi.
  • There will be negative markings in the exam. ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer as a penalty. So, candidates are advised not to use their guesses.
  • Paper-II will be the conventional type. That means there will be descriptive-type questions.
  • The duration of each paper will be two hours.
  • Candidates should bear in mind that Paper-II will be assessed only for those candidates who get minimum qualifying marks in Paper I.

SSC JHT exam 2022 Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the SSC JHT exam 2022, candidates need to fulfill the following criteria:

  • In terms of nationality, candidates should be citizens of India. Those who have migrated to India from Tibet, Bhutan or Nepal before 1st January 1962 with an intention to settle here on a permanent basis, are also eligible.
  • With regard to the age limit, candidates should not be above 30 years of age as calculated on 01.01.2022. There will be relaxation in age for the reserved categories in accordance with the rules and norms.
  • In terms of educational qualification, candidates should have obtained a Bachelor’s/Master degree from any recognized college or university.

SSC JHT exam 2022 Application Process

Candidates are advised to fill out the SSC Junior Hindi Translator 2022 application form either on or before the last date. Once the last date of application has lapsed, their candidature will not be accepted. The steps that are required to be followed include the following:

  • Go through the SSC JHT Notification 2022 carefully
  • Visit the SSC JHT website and click on the ‘Apply’ button.
  • Select the ‘JHT’ tab.
  • Click on the ‘Apply’ link.
  • You will be redirected to 'Log in' section.
  • Click on 'New User? Register Now' link.
  • Register yourself by providing the relevant information—your name, date of birth, father’s name, 10th and 12th classes roll numbers etc.
  • Having done this, follow the instructions to apply online.
  • Fill out the application form with all the pieces of information and attach photocopies of the required documents.
  • Pay the fee online and submit your application form.
  • Finally, take a printout of your application form for further use.

SSC JHT 2022 Application Fee

  • General category male candidates need to pay ₹ 100/- only. They can pay the fees through SBI Net Banking/ SBI Challan or debit/credit cards of any bank.
  • Women candidates and candidates who belong to reserved categories — SC/ST/ Ex-servicemen/ candidates with the disability are exempted from paying the fees.
  • Candidates should note that once the application fee is paid, it will not be refunded under any circumstances.

SSC JHT exam 2022 Other Details

SSC JHT Exam Centers

SSC JHT Exam 2022 will be conducted at various centers all over India. Candidates need to be very careful while selecting the exam center. The exam centers will be allotted to them on the basis of seat availability and also on a first come first serve basis. Once the exam centers have been allotted, they will not be changed on any request.

SSC JHT Admit Card 2022

Separate admit cards will be released for the SSC JHT Paper-I and Paper-II. The admit cards will be released on the official website 7 days prior to the exam. Candidates need to consider the following steps for downloading the admit card:

  • Visit the official website - ssc.nic.in.
  • Choose the Admit Card link
  • A new window will pop up.
  • At once, choose your SSC Region
  • Click on the option ‘Download Admit Card’
  • Now, click on the option ‘SSC Junior Hindi Translator Admit card 2022’
  • Enter your registration number and date of birth
  • Press the button ‘Submit’
  • Finally, download it and take a printout for further reference.

SSC JHT Result 2022

The result of the SSC JHT 2022 examination Paper-I and Paper-I will be released separately after the papers. The final result will be prepared on the basis of the performance of candidates in both written examinations - Paper-I and Paper-II and candidates will be shortlisted accordingly. The final answer key is available on the official website. However, the result is not available yet. Candidates will be able to check their results online at the official website — ssc.nic.in.
