SRMJEEE 2023 Exam Pattern

The SRMJEEE 2023 exam will be a computer-based exam where Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) are asked from the following sections:

* Candidates applying for B.Tech. Biotechnology and all its specializations and B.Tech. Biomedical Engineering courses are required to appear for Biology subjects. For all other disciplines, candidates have to appear for the Mathematics subject.

SRMJEEE 2023 Syllabus

The university prescribes the SRMJEEE syllabus. Check the official notification for the complete SRMJEEE 2023 syllabus. The main topics are mentioned below:

Physics - Units and Measurement, Mechanics, Gravitation, Mechanics of Solids and Fluids, Current Electricity, Magnetism and Magnetic Effects of Current, Electrostatics, Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Currents, and Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter & Atomic Physics, Nuclear Physics, and Electronic Devices. 

Chemistry - Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, p-block elements, ‘d’ and ‘f’ block elements, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones, and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, and Chemistry in Everyday Life.

Mathematics - Sets, Relations and Functions, Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations, Matrices, Determinants, and Their Applications, Combinatorics, Algebra, Analytical Geometry, Vector Algebra, Differential Calculus, and its Applications, Integral Calculus and its Applications, Statistics and Probability Distribution, and Trigonometry.

Biology - Diversity in the Living World, Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants, Cell Structure and Function, Human Physiology, Plant Physiology, Reproduction, Genetics and Evolution, Biology and Human Welfare, Biotechnology and its applications, and Ecology and Environment.

Aptitude - Number System, Statistics, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Quadratic Equation, Geometry, Arrangement, Direction Sense Test, Trigonometry, and Linear Equations.

English - Short passages, lines from poems, and dialogues will be given. Candidates are required to choose the right answer as per comprehension.

SRMJEEE Exam 2023 Eligibility

Before filling out the application form, candidates must make sure that they are eligible for the exam. Check out the eligibility criteria here:

Nationality

Indian residents, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and PIO or OCI card holders (the Government of India must issue cards) are eligible for the exam.

Age Limits

The minimum and maximum age for the exam will be calculated as of 31st July of the year in which the class 12th examination was held. The age limits are:

• Minimum age - 16 years
• Maximum age - 21 years

Qualifying Exam

• Passed/Appeared in the Higher Secondary Examination with Chemistry, Physics as compulsory subjects and any one of the Biology/ Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Botany & Zoology from any recognized state board, ICSE, CBSE, or NIOS.
• However, those who have passed both the 10th and 12th standard examinations from NIOS are not eligible for the exam.
• Candidates having International Baccalaureate (IB) with a diploma or an A-level in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/ Mathematics/ Botany & Zoology/ Biotechnology from any international school are also eligible for the exam.

SRMJEEE Exam 2023 Application Process

The SRMJEEE 2023 application form can be filled in both offline and online modes. The application process started on 22nd November 2022. The last date for receipt of the application form through offline mode is 17th July 2023. Here are the steps for filling out the application form through both modes.

Registration and Verification

• Visit the official website - https://applications.srmist.edu.in/btech.
• You will see a window ‘SRMJEEE 2023 B.Tech. Admission Open’
• Enter your name, email Id, mobile number, password, state, city, and captcha.
• Click the ‘Register’ button.
• After successful registration, you will receive mail at your registered email Id.
• Verify the email Id to complete the registration process.

Filling out the Application Form

• Now log in using your email ID and password.
• Fill in the details in the application form.
• Candidates are required to enter details such as parent name, gender, date of birth, nationality, test city centers, university preference, qualification details, etc.

SRMJEEE Fee Payment -

• Make the fee payment.
• You can select the payment option and follow the steps for the application fee payment. The fee can be paid through both online and offline modes. The application fee for the exam is ₹ 1100/-. The application fee is non-refundable.

Uploading Photograph and Signature

• After the fee payment is successful, upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature.

• Take a print of the confirmation page after successful submission.

Offline

In the offline mode, candidates are required to collect the application form from the institute, fill out the ORM application form and send it to the exam conducting authority. The fee can be paid offline through a Demand Draft drawn in favor of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. Write your name and address at the back of the Demand Draft. The application form and DD must reach the institute before the last date. Send the application form to the following address:

SRMJEEE Exam 2023 Other Details

SRM Direct Admission

As per the official notification for Admission 2023, “To encourage and support students of exemplary talent, SRM offers direct admission and scholarships to first rank students of all the Central and State Boards in India, top 10,000 rankers in IIT JEE, top rankers in each district of Tamil Nadu and exemplary sportspersons at National and International level.”

SRMJEEE 2023 Slot Booking

Candidates who have applied for the SRMJEEE 2023 exam are required to book a slot for their examination. If not, they will not be able to appear for the examination. The slot booking facility is made available online, and the slots are allotted on a first-come-first-serve basis. Candidates are required to choose the date and timing for their exam as per their preference, subject to availability. Please note that admit cards will not be issued without slot booking.

SRMJEEE 2023 Admit Card

SRMJEEE 2023 admit card will be issued only to those applicants whose application forms are complete in all respects and submitted before the last date. The admit cards will be released at the official portal only after the slot booking process.

Admit cards/ hall tickets can be downloaded using the log-in credentials. The admit card comprises details such as name, photograph, exam center address, test timings, etc. Candidates must check all the details carefully and report the errors (if any) to the exam Director, Admissions. Please note that admit card is an important document and is mandatory for appearing in the SRMJEEE exam. Don’t forget to carry it to the examination venue.

SRMJEEE 2023 Result

SRMJEEE 2023 result is uploaded on the official website and also intimated to the candidates through email. The result is released in the form of a merit list. The list is prepared based on the scores obtained by the candidates in the SRMJEEE exam. The university will not release the individual scores of the candidates. Candidates can easily check the results on the official website.

SRMJEEE 2023 Counselling

SRMJEEE 2023 counselling will be conducted offline mode. Candidates who clear the exam can log in to their profiles and download the counselling call letter. Fill in the choices for colleges and courses, report at the reporting institute with all the documents for verification (read the call letter for the list of documents), and pay the fee on the dates specified by the institute.
