The pattern for the entrance exam is as under:

• Students can get admission to most of the SMU DE courses on the basis of their merit scores. For some of the courses, they are required to appear in the SMU Entrance Exam.
• The SMU DE Entrance Exam question paper contains objective-type questions.
• The question paper is divided into different sections.
• Some sections contain match-the-following type questions.
• The objective-type questions contain 1 mark.
• The match-the-following type contains 2 marks and MCQ type questions contain 3 marks.

Evaluation System

The SMU follows the ‘Grading System’ to evaluate the candidate’s performance.

1. Grade ‘A’ – For 70% and above scores
2. Grade ‘B’ – For 60% and above scores
3. Grade ‘C’ – For 50% and above scores

The application process for SMU DE courses will begin at different dates for different courses. So, interested candidates must keep a check on the official website to check the commencement of the application process. Here are some important points.

• Students can apply for admission either online or offline. They can download SMU 2022 application form online. The completed application form should be sent along with a Demand Draft of ₹ 1600. It includes both, the charges for the Prospectus (₹ 600) and Examination Fee (₹ 1000).
• If a student collects it from the Bank, then he/ she is required to send a Demand Draft of ₹ 1000 only for the examination fee.

SMU 2022 Online Application Process -

• The applicant should visit the SMU official website.
• It is a 3 step process, namely – Registration by providing basic information; Filling the Application form including educational qualification details, and Paying the application fee as per the course.
• In the 1st stage of the application, a student should get registered through mobile and email. A link will be sent to the applicant’s email. The applicant should click on the link for successful registration.
• Upon successful registration, an Application Number and Password will be sent to the applicant’s mobile.
• The candidate should fill in all the specified columns of the application form.
• He/ she should pay the application fee through the ‘Payment Gateway’ specified.
• Then the applicant should click on the Submit button.

Sikkim Manipal University Distance Education 2022 Admit Card

• Applicants can download their Admit Card from the official website of SMU by clicking on the link www.smu.edu.in.
• The Admit Cards are issued two to three weeks before the date of the entrance exam.
• They should click on the above-given link. It will take them to the SMU Homepage.
• Here, they should find the ‘News and Announcement’ section where they will get the ‘Admit Card Download’ option.
• They are asked to fill out the ‘Login Form’ to download the Admit Card. It should be filled with all the required details.
• Candidates should download the admit card and take its print copy.
• It is important to carry the admit card at the examination centers. Without admit card, no students will be allowed to appear in the exam.
