SEBI Grade ‘A’ (Assistant Manager) 2022 Exam Update –
- The Securities & Exchange Board of India has released the notification for SEBI Grade A Exam on 5th January 2022.
- The Phase I examination was conducted on 20th February 2022, results for the same are awaited.
- the Phase II exam for Officer Grade ‘A’ (Assistant Manager) will be held on 20th March 2022.
- Dates for the Phase III exam are yet to be announced.

SEBI Grade A Exam 2022 Pattern & Syllabus
Selection through the SEBI Grade A exam is done in three phases:
- Phase-I – Online Prelims exam
- Phase-II – Online Mains exam consisting of three papers
- Phase-III - Interview
Phase I – Online Exam Pattern
The online examination is of two hours duration consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The exam pattern is different for different posts. Check out the tables given below:

Qualifying Marks: Candidates need to secure a minimum of 40% cut-off in each subject separately for qualifying Phase I. Please note that the marks of the Phase I exam will not be considered for the final selection of the candidates.
Phase-II – Online Exam
Phase II exam is also an online exam that consists of three papers with a total of 300 marks. Here is the paper pattern:

Interview Process -
Candidates who qualify for Phase II examinations are shortlisted for the Interview phase. The list of shortlisted candidates is released on SEBI’s official website, https://www.sebi.gov.in. The final selection will be done on the basis of candidates’ marks in Phase-II online exam and Interview. 85% weightage will be given to marks of Phase II exam while 15% weightage will be given to Interview marks.
SEBI Grade A Exam Syllabus
SEBI Grade A exam syllabus can be downloaded from the official notification. Candidates are accessed on various abilities such as Quantitative Aptitude, reasoning skills, understanding of the English language, general awareness and professional knowledge.
SEBI Grade A Exam 2022 Eligibility
Before applying for the exam, make sure you meet the Grade A exam eligibility criteria.
Age Limit
Candidates must not be more than 30 years of age as on 28th February 2022 (born on or after 1st March 1992). Candidates belonging to SC/ST category will get 5 years of relaxation in the age limit while those belonging to the OBC category will get 3 years of relaxation.
Educational Qualification
Educational qualification differs for different posts. Here are the details:
For General (any one of the following degree)
- Master’s degree in any discipline
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Chartered Accountant
- Chartered Financial Analyst
- Company Secretary
- Cost & Work Accountant
For Legal
- Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognised institute.
For Information Technology
- Graduate in engineering (computer science/information technology/electronics and communication/electrical/electronic)
Or
- Master’s degree in Computer Application
Or
- Graduate degree in any discipline with a post-graduate degree (minimum 2 years duration) in information technology/computers.
For Engineering (Civil)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
For Engineering (Electrical)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Note: Candidates who have given the final year exam and are waiting for their result are also eligible for the exam. However, they will be eligible for a job at SEBI only on the production of documents supporting their qualification.

Candidates were advised to apply online only through the official website within the given application time period. Applications were not accepted through any other mode. The online application link was active from 05th to 24th January 2022.

Steps to Apply for SEBI Grade A Exam
- Go to SEBI’s website; https://www.sebi.gov.in
- Click on ‘SEBI Recruitment of Officers in Grade A – Online Registration’ link on the home-page.
- Click on the ‘Online Registration Link’
- Click on the link for new registration – ‘Click here for New Registration’.
- Read the important instructions and continue.
- Enter your name, contact details, and email id to register. A registration number and password will be displayed on the screen. These details will also be shared through SMS and email provided by the candidate.
- Log-in using the registration number and password to complete the application form. If you cannot fill the form in one go, use “SAVE AND NEXT” button to save the data already entered and log out. You can log in again to complete the form.
- Fill in all the details carefully and check them before hitting the “FINAL SUBMIT” button.
- Upload the scanned images of the Photograph and Signature as per the specification mentioned in the official notification.
- Proceed to “Payment” option. The application fee can be paid by internet banking, debit cards, credit cards, and mobile wallets. E-receipt will be generated upon successful completion of the transaction. Candidates are advised to take the print out of the e-receipt.
- Once the application process is complete, take a printout of the confirmation page/completed application form.
Important Note: Do not send system generated print out of filled-in application form to SEBI’s office.

SEBI Grade A Recruitment 2022: Selection Process
- There will be three stages of selection under the SEBI Recruitment process for Grade A Officer i.e. Prelims, Mains & Personal Interview.
- Candidates were required to appear in the Preliminary Exam held on 20th February 2022.
- Those who will qualify for it will appear in the Mains exam on 20th March 2022.
- Afterwards, the department will conduct the Interviews as the last stage for the finally selected applicants.
- The dates for phase III (interview) will be announced in due course.
SEBI Grade A Officer Exam Admit Card
- Admit card for SEBI Officer Grade A exam 2022 were intimated through SMS/Email message.
- Applicants should download the admit card only from the official website using their registered id and password.
- Check all the details carefully; if you notice any discrepancy, inform the exam conducting authority.
- Do carry the admit card to the examination venue, it is mandatory for making entry to the examination hall.
SEBI Officer Grade A Exam Result 2022
- The result for the SEBI Grade A 2022 Phase-I exam will be released on the official website.
- The final result will be uploaded only after the Interview round (Phase-III).
- The result will be uploaded to the “Career” section on the official website.
- Candidates can log in with their registration ID and password to check the result.
