WASE & WISTA Programmes by Wipro to Encourage M.Tech Students
Wipro delivers its Corporate Social Responsibility in a unique way. Instead of giving financial assistance to students, it believes in giving them exposure to the latest technologies to bring about their career development. In this direction, it runs WASE (Wipro Academy of Software Excellence) and WISTA (Wipro Software Technology Academy) scholarship programmes.
Under these programmes, it selects students from BCA, B.com, and B.Sc. every year to offer them a chance to pursue higher education at M. Tech. The selected students receive skills along with a monthly stipend during their period of studies.

WASE (Wipro Academy of Software Excellence)
This programme began in the year 1995. Under this programme, Wipro collaborates with BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science); Pilani gives students a chance to pursue M. Tech.
Eligibility
A student should have done Bachelors in BCA, Or B. Sc. (CS). His minimum score requirement should be: -
- 50%- Class 10th
- 50%- Class 12th
- 60% Aggregate inclusive of all subjects and Honours - Graduation
- Mathematics in Class 12th - Mandatory
- No Standing Arrears/Backlogs
WISTA (Wipro Software Technology Academy)
This programme began in the year 2011, in collaboration with the VIT University Vellore. Under this programme, students receive the opportunity to pursue M. Tech (Information and Technology) from the university.
Eligibility
Students should have done Bachelors in B. Com (CA) or B.Sc. He/she should have a minimum score of: -
- 50%- Class 10th
- 50%- Class 12th
- 60% Aggregate inclusive of all subjects and Honours - Graduation
Benefits under the Wipro’s WASE and WISTA programmes
Selected students get monetary benefits in the form of a monthly stipend. The distribution of the scholarship benefit goes like this-
- First Academic Year - ₹ 13,500.
- Second Academic Year - ₹ 16,000.
- Third Academic Year - ₹ 19,000.
- Fourth Academic Year - ₹ 23,000.
- Medical Insurance
- Aspirants also get the opportunity to work on LIVE projects.
- Book allowance each semester
- Contingency loans
How to Apply
Candidates have an option to apply for both scholarships by visiting the official website of Wipro. Go through the instructions and then follow these steps:-
- Go to the Career page of Wipro.
- Look for the WASE and WISTA option and click on Register Now.
- Fill the application form carefully.
- Attach all the essential documents.
- Candidates interested in jobs can also upload their resume in the “upload resume option” on the career page. WIPRO will automatically contact you if you are eligible.
Selection Process
All candidates go through a multi-stage selection process. An applicant first needs to perform ‘Online Registration’. Then, the short-listed students have to participate in the ‘Group Discussion’ round.
After this, they take the ‘Aptitude Test’ and the ’Online written communication test’. Students who qualify these stages receive a call for an interview.
