Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children – Pre/Post Matric Scholarship
The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India has come up with a fellowship program for Indian students and invites them for Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children Pre/Post Matric scholarship 2020-21. Every year, the ministry has come forward and help poor and needy students with the fellowship benefits. Under the scheme, students belonging to the class 9th to post-graduation courses are eligible to apply for the course.

Umbrella Scholarship 2020 invites stupendous school and college going students to apply for the 2020-21 sessions of the scheme. The applications for the same will be available online from 20th June 2020 onwards, while the applications available till 15th October 2020.
Scholarship Benefits
Candidates who got selected will receive a financial reward as per the norms of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. The benefits will be rewarded in the form of cash price directly on their registered bank account number.
Umbrella Scholarship 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children Pre/Post Matric scholarship 2020-21 is available for candidates throughout the country. However, the complete eligibility norms are differed for Pre and Post Matric courses. Check the eligibility below:
Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children Pre Matric Scholarship
- The candidates must be studying in Class 9 or 10.
- Scheduled Tribe students who have passed the class 8th and 9th from the recognized board are eligible.
- The annual family income of an applicant should be below ₹ 2 lakh.
Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Children Post Matric Scholarship
- This scheme is available for all Indian citizens.
- Only ST students with an annual family income less than ₹ 2,50,000/- per annum are eligible.
- Under Post Matric, candidates studying in class 11 to postgraduate courses will be eligible to apply.
How to Apply?
You can pursue the following steps to apply for the scholarship:
- To start with, open the official National Scholarship Portal.
- Now, click on the “New User? Register” link if you are a first-time user, and if you are not then Click on “Login to Apply”.
- Now, select your academic year, and application type.
- Under Ministry tab, click on the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and select the scholarship.
- Select your State and District from the given tab and start filling the Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST online application form 2020.
- Upload all the important documents along with the application form and click on “Submit” Button once the application form is completed.
