The G.S.B Scholarship 2018 offers a fellowship program for the Saraswat Community

The Gaud Saraswat Brahman Scholarship League invites application from the needy and brilliant students of the Saraswat community. Those candidates are eligible to apply, whose parents are unable to fulfil the expenses on education. The G.S.B Scholarship 2018 runs with a motive to provide a financial assistance to the deserving and commendable students of class 5 to graduation level.

By introducing this free fellowship, the young Saraswat students are encouraged to do extremely well in education and become responsible members for the welfare of the society. With the aid of the scheme, it will surely encourage girl students to continue their education. The G.S.B Scholarship is not applicable for the postgraduate students. At present, the fellowship is only available for BE/ BArch/ BPharm/ MBBS students. The last date to apply for the scheme is 15th October 2018 via offline mode only.

The Gaud Saraswat Brahmin Scholarship League is seeking applications from the Saraswat Community students who are capable enough to expand their knowledge. The major objective of the organization is to help these emerging students by providing much-needed financial assistance and make them credible to complete their studies.

Scholarship Award

During the past year, the organization has distributed free scholarship worth of ₹ 108.37 lakhs among 4084 students, over which around 2,000 school students are from villages and towns. Each student received ₹ 1,000 on the yearly basis. Out of the total scholars, 2043 were girl students who got the free scholarship. As per the available funds, the fellowship amount will be determined by the managing committee.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The applicant must be belonging student of the Gaud Saraswat Brahman Community.
  • School students studying in Class 5th to 10th are eligible to apply.
  • PUC/Junior College students can also apply.
  • Bachelor degree (BA/ B.Sc/ B.Com) or Diploma holders can apply.
  • Professional course students like (BE/ BArch/ BPharm/ MBBS) will be eligible for availing this scholarship.

Steps to Apply for the Scholarship

Step 1: To apply for the scholarship, applicants have to request the application form from the League’s office or collect it by visiting the organization’s office:

Step 2: Now, fill all the required details in a described format which is mentioned in the form.

Step 3: Attach the required documents along with the form.

Step 4: Send your application by post or deliver it by hand to the League’s office.

Selection Procedure

From the shortlisted candidates, the selection of the scholars for the award of fellowship will be based on the need and financial status of the candidates.
