BIPF- Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education was organized by IMFA in the remembrance of famous historian late Professor Ghanashyam Dash. Every year Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation grants this fellowship to the young praiseworthy candidates who want to continue their education in the field of Medicine, Engineering and Liberal Arts at any UGC recognized Govt. Institute or College. Six deserving students will receive this prestigious scholarship to start their career in an appropriate profession.

This scholarship is a medium to encourage and empower people who belong to the socially and economically weaker section. BIPF- Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education 2018 is an initiative to uplift the education system for the brilliant students who belongs from the underprivileged zone of Orissa. The last date to apply for the scheme is 30th October 2018.

BIPF- Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship for Higher Education 2018 works with an objective to attract more and more extremely qualified students to pursue higher studies in professional degree courses.

Scholarship Details:

The fellowship covers 90 % of the academic fee and related expense for the entire duration of the course with an annual limit of ₹ 1, 00,000 (one lakh) per student. A sum total of six fellowships are awarded this year out of which four scholarships will be given to the students from deprived families who are permanently domiciled in Odisha and rest two will be given to the children of permanent employees of the company.

Professor Ghanashyam Dash Scholarship 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

Residential Proof: The candidate must be domicile holder of Odisha.

Family Income: The annual Income of the family should not exceed more than INR 8,500 per month (for permanent employees) and not more than INR 2lakh per year (for others).

Education Qualification: The Candidates must be pursuing engineering, liberal arts, and medicine from any Govt. college or institution which is recognized by UGC.

Reservation: Preference will be given to the candidates belonging to SC/ST and physically handicapped category.

Steps to Apply:

Documents required:

Following documents need to be submitted with an application form.

  1. Marksheet of Class 12th/ Senior Secondary education.
  2. Admission proof of college.
  3. Domicile certificate from the Tahsildar/ Competent Authority.
  4. Caste certificate (if required)
  5. Certificate of physical disability from the District Medical Board/ Competent Authority (if required)
  6. Income certificate of parents from the Tahsildar/ Competent Authority.
  7. A recent passport size colored photograph.

Selection Procedure:

  • The scholarship board will shortlist the deserving applicants truly on the basis of rank/percentage of marks scored in the qualifying examination.
  • However, the committee will also take an inspection of the selected applicant’s financial condition.
  • The decision of the committee shall be final & cannot be challenged in any Court of Law.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The scholar must inform the Scholarship Committee regarding any changes in his/her academic status that occurs during the year.
  2. The scholarship recipient has to submit relevant supporting documents at the end of every semester or annually depending upon the terms of the Institute.
  3.  The Scholarship Committee may also have an authority to discontinue the scholarship in case of an adverse report from the Institute.
  4. The decision of the committee will be considered as final and binding.
