National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR) New Delhi has invited applications for NIPGR New Delhi Junior Research Fellowship 2021. Candidates with a postgraduate degree can apply for the fellowship. The fellowship amount is at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST.

Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the fellowship:
- The upper age limit is 35 years.
- Applicants must possess an M.Sc./ M.Tech. degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/ Botany/ Molecular Biology or any other branch of Life Sciences with a minimum of 55% marks.
Duration
As per the official notification; “The above position is completely on a temporary basis with a maximum duration of three years. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority.”

- Certificates and mark sheets from class X onwards
- Proof of Publications/ Research experience
Application Process
The applications will be accepted only through online mode. The detailed application process is mentioned below.
- Visit the NIPGR official website at www.nipgr.ac.in.
- Go to the ‘Careers’ menu and select the ‘Latest’ option under the ‘NIPGR Vacancies’ head.
- Now click on the ‘Application Format’ link corresponding to the ‘Inviting applications for JRF or PA-I under Dr. Hasthi Ram’ option.
- Fill the application form and make a single PDF file.
- Attach the application form along with soft copies of self-attested degree/ experience certificates in an email message. The subject of the email should be ‘Application for the position of JRF/PA-I’.
- Send the email to [email protected].
Applications will be accepted only in soft copy (PDF format) in the given format.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises two stages viz. Shortlisting and Interview.
Shortlisting - Applications sent by the candidates will be shortlisted by the competent authority.
Interview - Shortlisted candidates will be given an online interview link along with the time slot for the interview.
