Naropa Fellowship Programme 2020 for Students from Himalayan Regions
Naropa Fellowship Programme is a one-year, fully academic programme for Graduate students who wish to pursue Post Graduation in any field of study. It is a fully-funded scholarship offered to candidates who show a sense of commitment towards the upliftment of Ladakh and the Himalayan region. The duration of the course is 1 year and it will take place in Hemis, located 40 km South-East of Leh airport in Ladakh.
The driving purpose behind to launch Naropa fellowship is to develop the entrepreneurial skills of the students and eneble them to foster socio-economic environment in Ladakh and surrounding regions.

Benefits under the Naropa Fellowship Programme 2020
- A fee of approx ₹ 10,000 which includes tuition fee, hostel accommodation and meals.
- 40 out of 50 students receive full scholarships.
- Full or partial scholarships for international students on a need-basis.
Eligibility Criteria
- Students from all fields can apply.
- Candidates with a consistently good academic record and extra-curriculum involvement.
- Students belonging from Himalayan regions like Sikkim, J&K, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, as well as Nepal and Bhutan, get preference.
- Candidates having an interest in travel and tourism, cultural preservation, ecological issues and entrepreneurship.

Selection Process
