Xiaomi India has introduced Mi Scholarship to support the higher education of meritorious students belonging to the underprivileged sections of the society. Under the programme, the students of class 11th, 12th, and under graduation level will receive financial assistance for their studies. The application process started in October 2020 and the last date for application submission is 31st March 2021.
Xiaomi India is a renowned multinational company dealing in smartphones, smart televisions, laptops, home appliances, and other consumer products. The company has started the scholarship under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme.

Eligibility
For Class 11th and 12th Students
- Only Indian nationals are eligible.
- Applicants must be studying in class 11th or 12th.
- The minimum marks obtained in the class 10th board examination should be 70%.
For Undergraduate Level Students
- Only Indian nationals are eligible.
- Applicants must be studying in an undergraduate-level programme such as B.Com, BBA, BCA, etc.
- The minimum marks obtained in the class 12th board examination should be 70%.
Application Process
Applications for the Mi scholarship can be submitted only through the online mode. Interested candidates can apply for the scholarship through the official website of Buddy4Study. Here is a detailed process.
- Visit the official Buddy4Study website.
- Click the ‘View All Scholarships’ option.
- You will find the ‘Mi Scholarship’ under the ‘Featured Scholarships’ option.
- Click it and look for the ‘Apply Now’ button.
- Complete the registration process using your email account.
- Login using the registration details.
- You will be redirected to the application form.
- Start the application process and fill in the required details.
- Upload the documents.
- Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ after reading.
- Preview the application and check if all the details are correct.
- ‘Submit’ the application form to complete the process.
Documents Required
Applicants are required to upload the scanned images of the following documents:
- Passport size photograph
- Photo identity proof (Aadhaar Card)
- Marksheets or grade card of Class 10th/ 12th, whichever is applicable
- Proof of admission (school/college/university ID card/bonafide certificate/etc.)
- Fee receipt of the current academic year
- Income proof (Form 16A/income certificate from government authority/salary slips, etc.)
- Bank account details of the scholarship applicant (cancelled cheque/passbook copy)
Selection Procedure
The selection process comprises of two stages as under:
Stage - I
Applications will be shortlisted based on the academic merit and financial background of the candidates.
Stage - II
The shortlisted candidates will then be called for a telephonic interview for the final selection.
