Merck India Charitable Trust Scholarship Program 2022 - Eligibility, Selection Process
Merck India Charitable Trust (MICT) scholarship program is an initiative of Merck India for supporting higher education among underprivileged students. The scholarship is for students residing and studying in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Bengaluru. Under this programme, financial assistance is provided to students after passing class 10th till they complete their graduation (in any discipline). Selected students will receive ₹ 35,000 per year (students need to submit the actual receipts of education expenses) to cover their academic expenses. The long-term financial assistance offered under this scholarship encourages talented students from economically weaker families to pursue a bright career and future.

Merck India Charitable Trust Scholarship - Eligibility Criteria
- Students must have passed the class 10th examination with a minimum of 80% marks in 2021.
- Family income from all sources must be less than or equal to ₹ 20,000 per month.
- Students must be currently studying and residing in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, or Bengaluru.
Application Process
Eligible and interested candidates can apply for the scholarship programme through the Buddy4Study official website. The applications will be accepted online as well as offline. Here are the steps to be followed.
Online Mode
- Go to the official Buddy4Study website.
- Look for the Merck India Charitable Trust Scholarship Program under the Scholarship section.
- Click on the Apply Now button.
- Complete the registration process using your email account.
- After successful registration, log in using your ID and password.
- The scholarship form will appear on the screen.
- Provide all the details carefully and upload the required documents.
- Preview the application form and check all the details carefully before final submission.
- Submit the application form.
Offline Mode
The scholarship applications can also be submitted through offline mode. Here are the steps to be followed:
- Download the application form from the Buddy4Study official website.
- Fill out the application form carefully.
- Enclose the filled-in application form along with the copies of the required documents in an envelope.
- Send it to - Buddy4Study, A 14/15, Workly 3rd Floor, Sector 59, Noida, Uttar Pradesh - 201309
OR
- Scan the offline application form and the required documents.
- Upload the scanned images in the email and send them to [email protected]. The subject of the email should be ‘MICT Scholarship Application - candidate’s name - DoB (dd/mm/yy)’
MICT Scholarship - Required Documents
- Applicant’s passport size photograph
- Photocopy of class 10th mark sheet attested by institute/ school’s principal or any gazetted officer
- Income proof (salary slip - last three months) of all earning family members. The income proof must be attested by the respective employer and revenue officer/ tehsildar. The income certificate of the family from the revenue office/ Ration card/ BPL card will also be accepted as income proof.
- Proof of permanent residence in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane or Bengaluru - (rent agreement/ election card/ ration card/ telephone bill/ electricity bill)
- Student ID proof/ Latest fee receipt (Academic Year 2021-22)
- Bank passbook or cancelled cheque or original letter from the bank clearly stating the following details:
- Name of the account holder
- Account number
- IFSC code
- Bank & branch name
MICT Scholarship - Selection Procedure
The selection procedure is completed in the following stages:
Shortlisting - Applications will be shortlisted based on academic performance and financial needs. Shortlisted candidates will be informed within two to three weeks of the last date of application submission via email or telephone.
Aptitude Test and Interview - Shortlisted candidates are required to undergo an aptitude test and face-to-face interview round.
