Eligibility for HDFC Bank Parivartan’s COVID Crisis Support Scholarship Program
Candidates are required to meet the following eligibility conditions in order to fill out the application form and get selected for the scholarship:
- The scholarship is available only for Indian nationals.
- Students must be studying in class 1st to 12, diploma, undergraduate degree, or postgraduate degree course.
- Must have been through any of the following situations:
- Lost one or both parent (s)/ earning members since January 2020 in the COVID crisis.

- Earning family member (s) lost their employment in the pandemic.
- Annual family income (from all sources) must be less than or equal to ₹ 6,00,000.
Note: Children of employees of HDFC bank and Buddy4Study are NOT ELIGIBLE.

NOTE: Students can use the scholarship funds only for academic purposes viz. Tuition fees, hostel fees, internet, food, online learning device, books, stationery, etc.
Mode of Scholarship Transfer: The scholarship amount will be transferred directly to applicants’/ parent’s/ guardian’s bank account.
Required Documents for HDFC Bank Parivartan’s COVID Crisis Support Scholarship
The following documents are required for filling the application form:
- Applicant’s photograph
- Bank account details of the applicant (or parent)
- Marksheet of previous education degree (2019-20)
- Government-issued ID card (Aadhaar card/ Driving License/ Voter ID Card/ PAN Card)
- Current year’s (2020-21) admission proof (Admission Letter/ Fee Receipt/ Bonafide Certificate/ Institution ID Card)
- Crisis document (Death Certificate of Parent (s) or Proof of Job Loss)
- Reference of two persons who are aware of the family crisis (head of school/ college, school/ college teacher, doctor, or a government officer)

The HDFC scholarship application process will be online. Candidates can submit their applications through the official Buddy4Study website. Here are the steps to be followed:
- Visit the official Buddy4Study website.
- Search for the HDFC COVID scholarship.
- Open the scholarship page and click the ‘Apply Now’ button.
- Register using your Gmail/ Facebook/ Mobile/ Email account.
- After successful registration, you will be redirected to the scholarship application page.
- Click on the ‘Start Application’ button to start the application process.
- Complete the application form with the required details.
- Upload the required documents.
- Accept the ‘Terms and Conditions’ and click the Preview option to check the entire details of the application form.
- After checking the details, submit the application form.
