The Foundation for Advancement of Education and Research conducts FAER McAfee Scholarship Awards 2018
FAER McAfee Scholarship Award is an annual fest conducting by the Foundation for Advancement of Education and Research (FAER). This annual summit is organized for the final year students of B.E. and B. Tech courses. Through this program, the foundation aims to promote an innovative approach to engineering students and encourage them to make their own resourceful proposal.
The foundation works with an aim to find and praise the brilliant scholars based on their presentation skills. The project will be based in the specified areas of Computer Science & IT, Cyber Security, AI & Robotics, Mobile Communications, Renewable Energy Systems, Signal Processing, Rural Technologies, Healthcare Technologies, Labour-saving Technologies for Women, Ecology and Environment, or Mobile Applications.
Those students in rural and semi-urban areas need to develop comprehensive project proposals on the topics of relevance related to rural areas, rural communications, agricultural information system, e-Governance, resource utilization, ecology, watershed development, renewable resources etc.

Eligibility criteria:
Nationality: Only Indian citizens can apply for the scholarship.
Educational Qualifications:
- Final year students of B.E. or B. Tech from recognized Indian colleges are eligible to apply for this award.
- A group of max. 4 students can take part in the project team.
Application process:

Selection Criteria:
- The scholars will be shortlisted on the basis of their innovative idea.
- Must be an original content.
- The content should have all the analytical capabilities.
Stages of selection:
The selection for the Foundation for Advancement of Education and Research (FAER), consists of two stages.
Stage 1: The foundation will obtain project proposals from students in engineering or polytechnic courses and select the best top 3 projects for funding.
Stage 2: The Selection will be completely based on the evaluation of the projects through a Seminar-cum-Exhibition and the best projects will get a cash prize and participation certificates in FAER - McAfee Scholar Awards Presentation Function.
Terms and Conditions for the Scholarship:
- The participating teams must have to submit a letter from the principal of their institution stating that they are final year students of the institution.
- It is mandatory for the team to submit a proper project proposal signed by their project advisor and principal.
- Must submit an undertaking that if the project is selected, they will complete the entire project within three months and submit the detailed project Report to FAER.
