About the scholarship: The Carnegie Fellowships at the Geophysical Laboratory 2019 works with an objective to find out the best commendable post-doctorate students and offer them a scholarship to enhance their credibility. Once in the year, the organization provides this golden opportunity to uplift the area of interest of the fellows and motivate them to do well in their respective field. The evaluation process of completed applications submission will begin on 1 December 2018 and the final results will be announced on January 2019.

• An applicant must hold a PhD degree in the relevant field of study i.e. (chemistry, microbiology, geosciences, and physics).
• Candidate must have a promising record of his/her publication and research work.
• An application submitted via Carnegie website will be considered only.

Selection Criteria:

The scholarship committee evaluates the overall proposal of an applicant on the basis of his/her original thinking and creativity to determine a developed strategy of research.

All the candidates need to qualify the complete stages of the scholarship scheme to avail the benefits in future:

• Initially, the candidates will be evaluated on the basis of their research proposal by the committee members.
• At last shortlisted candidates will call for an interview process in the month of January.
• Finally, selected winners will get this scholarship in the duration between 1 July 2019 and 31 December 2019.

Rules and Regulations:

1. The Geophysical Laboratory permits students to work in the world-class experimental and analytical facilities and provide them with lots of facilities in the fellowship time period.
2. Participants will not be discriminated on the basis of race, disability, gender, protected veteran status or another group status.
3. The decision of the committee will be considered as final.
4. Must hold a PhD in a relevant subject.
