Take Part in All India 6th Korea-India Friendship Essay Competition
Korean Cultural Centre of Embassy of the Republic invites school students from class 6th to 12th to participate in the All India 6th Korea-India Friendship Essay Competition. The competition tests the creative writing skills of students and rewards them on the basis of it.
Winners of the event can get a chance to win a free ticket to South Korea or a cash prize of ?20,000. The last date to apply is 17th August 2018.

Eligibility Criteria
- Only Indian students residing in India can apply.
- Students from class 6th to 9th (belong to the Junior Group)
- Students from class 10th to 12th (belong to the Senior Group)
Topic for the Essay
Junior Group: - “Why South Korea is my Favourite Country” in 150-300 words
Senior Group: - “Why I want to become an Indian Ambassador to South Korea?” in 300-500 words.

For Junior Group (Classes 6th -9th)
- First Prize Winner: ₹20,000
- 2 Second Prize Winners: ₹10,000 each
- 3 Third Prize Winners:₹5,000 each
- 15 Runner Ups: Special Prize of ₹1,000 each
For Senior Group (Classes 10th-12th)
- First Prize Winner: Free Trip to South Korea

How to Apply
- Students need to write an essay according to the group (Junior or Senior) they belong to.
- The essay can either be typed or handwritten, but only in English.
- Stick to the prescribed word limit.

Terms and Conditions
- Prizes are NOT en-cashable and NOT transferable.
- Send the essay on or before 12:00 midnight on 17th August 2018
- The free trip to South Korea is for 6 days and 5 nights and will depend on government procedures.
- The decision made by the judges will be last and final. Participants cannot make any review requests.
- Winners living outside Delhi NCR will get a travel allowance to attend the award ceremony held in Delhi.
- Winners will receive a maximum of ₹10,000 for airfare on presenting the actual ticket.
- Winners will receive a maximum of ₹5,000 for train fare on presenting the actual ticket.
