The exam pattern of the State Bank of India Specialist Officer (SO) varies as per the posts. Here are the details for the exam pattern for various posts.

SBI SO 2022 - Selection Process for Various Posts

The shortlisting will be done on the basis of qualification, experience, suitability, and other important details of the candidates. The candidates will be awarded marks out of 100. On the basis of that, they will be called for a direct interview. The State Bank will select suitable candidates from the top merit rank list from each category.

Syllabus for Reasoning: Classification, Alphabet Test, Eligibility Test, Analogy, Logical Sequence of Words, Puzzle Test, Alpha Numeric Sequence Puzzle, Inserting the Missing Character, Logic, Data Sufficiency, Theme Detection, Coding-Decoding, Logical Venn Diagrams, Situation Reaction Test, Statement – Arguments, Series Completion, Clocks & Calendars, Direction Sense Test, Statement – Conclusions, Arithmetical Reasoning, Mathematical Operations, Number, Ranking & Time Sequence and Deriving Conclusions from Passages.

SBI SO Exam 2022 Application Process

State Bank of India invited online applications from eligible Indian citizens for Specialist Cadre Officers posts. Candidates can apply by visiting the authorised website https://www.sbi.co.in/careers or https://bank.sbi/careers. The application process started on 5th February 2022 and will continue till 25th February 2022.

Documents to be Uploaded: 

Candidates are required to upload the following documents while filling up the form:

• Brief Resume in PDF format
• ID Proof in PDF format
• Date of Birth proof in PDF format
• Mark sheets/ Certificates in PDF format
• Latest salary slip in PDF format
• Experience certificate in PDF format
• PwD certificate, if applicable (in PDF format)
• Caste certificate, if applicable (in PDF format)
• Scanned image of passport size photograph - use the recent, colored photograph with a light-colored background. The file size should be between 20 KB to 50 KB.
• Scanned image of candidate’s signature with black pen on white paper. The file size should be between 10 KB to 20 KB. The signature must not be in capital letters.

Note: “In case the face in the photograph or signature is unclear, the candidate application may be rejected. In case the photograph or signature is not prominently visible, the candidate may edit his/her application and re-load his/ her photograph or signature, prior to submitting the form.”

How to Apply for the SBI Special Officer Exam 2022?

• Visit the official website of the State bank of India and register yourself by providing basic details such as email ID, the name of the candidate, mobile number, etc.
• Use the system-generated log in credentials and fill out the online application form
• Fill out the form carefully and upload the scanned photograph (20kb-50kb) and signature (JPEG) with the ideal size and format
• Pay the application fee using a credit card, debit card, internet banking, etc.
• Click on the submit button once it is filled-in completely
• After the application is submitted successfully, take a printout of the same for future reference

Note: If an applicant fails to submit the form in one go, he can do it later by saving the page. By doing this, he gets a system-generated provisional registration number and password. The applicant must keep the registration number and password safe, edit the particulars and submit next time. This act of saving information and filling out the application can be done up to 3 times.

• The application fee is to be paid only through online mode using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking.
• Transaction charges for the fee payment are also to be borne by the candidates.
• The application fee is non-refundable and will also not be adjusted against any other examination.
• There is a provision to take a print of the e-receipt and application form containing fee details.

SBI SO Call Letter 2022

After submitting the online application form successfully, candidates can expect the SBI SO admit card 2022 on their email. The Bank will not send any hard copies. Or else, visit the official website, use the login credentials and download the call letter. Separate call letters will be released for the interview process. SBI SO 2022 call letters/ admit cards will be uploaded on 5th March 2022.

The selection for the posts will be done on the basis of shortlisting and interviews. The result for the shortlisted candidates will be released on the official website and the shortlisted candidates are called for the Interview process. SBI SO 2022 Important Points & General Information

• The application for the SBI SO exam can only be filled out online.
• The registration will be considered valid only after the payment of the fee via online mode.
• All the documents (experience, qualification, age, caste, etc.) should be correct. Failing to provide the correct details will result in the rejection of the candidature.
• If an applicant is called for the interview but found his/her eligibility unsatisfactory, he/she won’t be entertained for the interview. The reimbursement of their travel expenses will not be entitled.
• If two or more candidates secure the same marks as the cut-off marks, such applicants will be ranked as per their age in descending order.

Question 4: I’m interested in a Deputy General Manager (Law) post for regular. I’ve 15 years of experience as an advocate. Am I eligible?

A: No! An applicant needs to show at least 17 years of experience as a Law Officer in the Legal Department of Scheduled Commercial Banks or in Scheduled Commercial Banks holding Assistant General Manager (Law) post.

Question 5: What’s the fee amount for the OBC category candidates?

A: It is INR 750/-. For the SC/ST/PWD applicants, there is no fee.

Question 6: What happens in case someone is called for the interview and is found not meeting the experience eligibility even though he fulfills other eligibility criteria?

A: In that case, he will neither be allowed to sit in the interview nor his travel expenses would be reimbursed.

Question 7: What will happen when 2 candidates score the same marks? Who will be given preference?

A: Here, the age difference would matter. The candidates would be ranked in the merit list based on their age in descending order.

Question 8: I hold a Degree in Law through correspondence. Will SBI allow me to submit the application form?

A: Though you can submit the application form, you will not be shortlisted. Only candidates who have regular Degrees from a recognised university are eligible for SBI SO.

Question 9: What is the SBI SO salary?

A: The SBI SO salary varies from 36,000 to ₹ 70,000 depending on the posts. Candidates must check out the official notification for a detailed salary structure.

Question 10: Will the admit card be sent by post?

A: No, the admit card will not be sent by post to any candidate.
