PESSAT Exam 2022 Important Dates

The important schedule for B.Tech. admission as per the official notification is as under:

PESSAT Exam 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

Candidates must be aware of the pattern of the exam for a better understanding of the paper. Here is the exam pattern for the PESSAT 2022 exam:

The duration of the computer-based test will be 180 minutes and the objective-type questions will be asked from the following sections:

• Negative Marking: There will be negative marking in the B.Tech. entrance examination. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• B.Tech. Lateral Entry: For lateral entry, the exam will be for 120 minutes duration, and 60 questions will be asked from the respective diploma discipline.

Syllabus for PESSAT Exam 2022

As per the official notification, the questions in section 1 (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry) will be asked from the CBSE class 11th and class 12th syllabus. So, candidates must check out the official CBSE website for the PESSAT 2022 syllabus. In section 2 (English), questions will be asked about grammar.

PESSAT Exam 2022 Eligibility

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. If candidates are found not eligible, their applications will be rejected at any phase of the admission process. The conditions required to be fulfilled for appearing in the examination are:

Education Qualification: Should have passed class 12th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Subjects in the Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in classes XI and XII.

Marks Required: Candidates must have secured minimum aggregate marks of 60% in the class 12th examination.

Number of Attempts: Candidates can appear for the PESSAT exam only once.

PESSAT Exam 2022 Application Process

Candidates are advised to fill out the application forms before the last date of submission. The application process started on 1st November 2021 and will continue till 6th June 2022 for submission of forms outside Bangalore and 13th June 2022 for submission of forms in the Bangalore center. The PESSAT 2022 application form must be filled out carefully. The incomplete forms will be rejected during the scrutiny. In case the candidates submit multiple applications, the last application form will be considered. So, make sure it is complete in all aspects. Here are the steps to fill out the application form:

Registration

• Visit the official website - https://www.pes.edu.
• Select the course you want to apply for on the home page.
• Enter your details such as name, gender, DoB, email-ID, etc.
• Click on the ‘Proceed’ button.
• Click on the ‘Confirm’ button after checking all the details.
• Now, you will be re-directed to the personal details page.

Complete the Application Form

• Fill in the personal details such as blood group, nationality, category, religion, citizenship, permanent address, mobile number, parents; details, educational details, course and branch, test centers, etc.
• Tick the declaration and you will see a message, ‘your application has been submitted successfully.’

Uploading Images

• Click on the upload button.
• Select your photograph for uploading.
• After a successful upload, move to the next step.

Fee Payment

• Choose the payment mode and follow the respective steps for successful fee payment.
• Check the status of the payment in one or two days.
• Once successful, submit the application form.

Print the application form

• After the submission of the application form, take a print of the completed application form.

PESSAT 2022 Registration Fee -

The registration fee for PESSAT 2022 exam is ₹ 1050/-. The fee can be paid through online mode, challan mode or Demand Draft.

Online Mode: the fee can be paid through credit card/ debit card/Net banking.

E-Challan: Take a print of the application form and e-challan, and carry both to the bank for the fee payment.

Demand Draft: Make a DD of the registration fee amount in favor of the “PES University General Fund” payable at Bangalore. Enter the DD details in the space provided in the online application form. Send the DD to the following address:

PESSAT 2022 - Numbers of Intake

The total number of intakes for the PES University Ring Road Campus are as under:

PESSAT 2022 Admit Card

PESSAT 2022 admit card can be downloaded only after the slot booking process. The slot booking process began on 14th June 2022. All the candidates whose application form has been submitted successfully are required to book slots for the examination. During slot booking, candidates are required to select the exam center, date, and timings. After the successful booking of the slots, candidates can download the admit card for the exam. The PESSAT 2022 admit card will have the exam date, timing, and exam center details.

PESSAT 2022 Exam Result

The PESSAT 2022 result is scheduled to be announced on 14th July 2022 through online mode. Candidates can check their results using the registration number and password. The result will be available in the form of a scorecard and rank list. Candidates who qualify for the exam are called for the counselling process.

PESSAT 2022 Counselling

The counselling process for the candidates who clear the PESSAT 2022 exam has begun in July 2022. The counselling process will be held in two rounds. Candidates are required to physically report for the counselling process. Seats are allotted based on the rank of the candidate, the course preferred by the candidate, and the availability of seats. Candidates are also required to carry the documents listed in the section below for the document verification process.

• Transfer Certificate / College leaving Certificate

• Copy of Aadhar Card
• Copy of Fees Receipt
• FOUR COPIES each of color passport size and stamp size photographs.
