OTET, Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test, is conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha for B.Ed. or equivalent degree holders to become eligible for recruitment as a teacher in different government, private aided, and private unaided schools in the state. Qualifying OTET makes candidates eligible for the recruitment of teachers for classes I to VIII.

OTET 2022 Exam Pattern
OTET exam comprises two papers. Both papers have 150 multiple-choice questions, which are to be answered in 2.5 hours. There is no negative marking in the exam. The detailed pattern for both papers is as under:

OTET Exam 2022 Eligibility
Candidates can appear for Paper-I or Paper-II or for both as per the eligibility conditions they meet. Check the conditions before filling out the application form.
Eligibility for Paper-I
Candidates must meet any one of the following criteria for appearing in Paper-I:
- Should have passed Class XII examination with at least 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD categories) aggregate marks. And, should possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education (CT or DElEd).
- Should have passed Class XII with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST/OBC/SEBC/PwD categories) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should have a two-year diploma in Elementary Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations, 2002.
- Should have cleared Class XII with at least 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD categories) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a four-year diploma in Elementary Education (BElEd).
- Should have cleared Class XII with at least 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD categories) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Special Education.
- Should have done graduation in any stream. Also, candidates should possess a two-year diploma in Elementary Education/ Special Education.
Eligibility for Paper-II
Candidates must meet any one of the following criteria for appearing in Paper-II:
- Should have done graduation with at least 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD) marks. Also, candidates should have passed a one-year course in Bachelor in Education (BEd).
- Should have done graduation with at least 45% (40% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks. Also, candidates should have passed a one-year BEd course in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
- Should have completed graduation with at least 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD candidates) marks. Also, candidates should have passed a one-year course in BEd (Special Education).
- Should have passed Class XII with at least 50% (45% for SC/ ST/ OBC/ SEBC/ PwD categories) aggregate marks. Also, candidates should have passed a four-year BSc-Ed/BA-Ed course.
OTET Exam 2022 Application Process
The OTET 2022 online application process start date is yet to be announced. Candidates can apply only through the online mode. The application form is to be filled out carefully as there is no provision for correction in the form once the application process is closed. Here are the steps to fill out the OTET 2022 application form:
- Candidates need to visit the official website http://www.bseodisha.ac.in/ and click on the ‘Online Application for OTET 2022’ link.
- Then, click the ‘Click Here for New Registration’’ option.
- Provide all the details asked for completing the registration process.
- Submit the details for completing the registration process.
- Once the registration is successful, log in using the registered ID and password.
- Verify your email ID and you will be redirected to the application fee payment page after successful verification.
- Pay the application fee online (net banking/ debit card/ credit card) or offline (SBI Challan) mode.
- Wait for 12 hours after fee payment for completing the remaining application process.
- After 12 hours, complete the application form with details such as personal information, educational qualification, address, declaration, etc.
- After the ‘Final Submission’, the application process will be complete.

OTET 2022 Admit Card
The OTET 2022 admit card release date will be announced on the official website. Candidates are required to download the same using their login details. Here are the steps to be followed:
- Visit the official website - bseodisha.ac.in.
- Click on the link for Admit Card for OTET-2022 under the ‘Latest Updates’ section.
- Follow the procedure to download the admit card as per the paper you have applied for.
- Once the OTET admit card appears on the screen, check all the details.
- Download the admit card and take a print.
