(a) NVS Recruitment Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Commissioner (Post Code: 01):

Essential Qualifications –

• Candidate should have Master’s Degree in Commerce/ Science/ Humanities from a recognised Institution or University
• Holding a similar post or post of Principal in the Level 12 (₹ 78800 - 209200) in the Pay Matrix, Or
• He should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in level 10 (₹ 56100 - 177500) and above in the Educational Planning and Administration in any Semi/ Govt. or Govt. / Autonomous Organisation.

Desirable Qualifications –

• The candidates should have research work done in the field of education.
• Must have experience in a residential school system.

Upper Age Limit –

• 45 years

(b) NVS Recruitment Eligibility Criteria for Post Graduate Teachers (PGT):

For PGT or Post Graduate Teachers, the following subjects or posts are considered. Postcodes are also mentioned alongside.

Essential Qualification –

• Aspirants should, at least, have completed a 2-year Integrated PG course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with a particular subject with 50% marks in aggregate. Or, Master Degree with 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised university.
• Must have proficiency in teaching in English and Hindi medium.
• Should have a B.Ed Degree.

Desirable Qualification –

• Knowledge of Computer Application.
• TGT experience from recognised institutions in the concerned subject.
• Working experience in residential schools.

(c) NVS Recruitment Eligibility Criteria for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):

For Trained Graduate Teachers or TGT, the following subjects or posts are considered. Postcodes are also mentioned alongside.

Essential Qualification –

• The applicants should have graduated from a recognised university with more than 50% marks in a particular subject or combination of subjects. They should have studied the subjects in all 3 years. Or, Bachelors Honours Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. They should have studied the subject for 2 or 3 years. Or, 4 years Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT with a particular subject with 50% marks in aggregate.
• Must have passed CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) by CBSE.
• Efficiency in teaching in Hindi and English in the concerned Regional Language.
• B.Ed. Degree.

• Knowledge of Computer Application.

(d) NVS Recruitment Eligibility Criteria for Miscellaneous Category of Teachers (PET-Female, PET-Male, Art, Music and Librarian):

Essential Qualifications –

1. Music:

• Must have completed 5 years study in any state government recognised music institution (as equivalent to UG or PG Degree).
• Or, must have graduated with Music from a recognised University and B.Ed.
• Or, Senior Secondary/ Higher Secondary with - Bhatkhande Sangeet Vidyalaypeeth, Lucknow or Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwa Vidyalaya, Khairagarh (MP) or Sangeet-Visharad examination of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya Mandal, Bombay or Sangeet Prabhakar Examination of the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.
• Or, should have completed Diploma/ Degree awarded by Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh: (a) Sangeet Bhushan or Sangeet Nritya Visharad with Sr. Secondary/ Intermediate/Part I examination of 3 years Degree Course or (b) Sangeet Nritya Bhushan with graduation in any discipline or (c) Sangeet Bhaskar with Graduation in any discipline.

2. Art:

• The persons should have completed 5 years Diploma in any discipline of Fine Arts as Graphic Arts/ Crafts/ Sculpture/ Painting/ Drawing after passing Class X or equivalent (Secondary Examination)
• Or, Diploma in Fine Arts or B.Ed Degree from Regional College of Education
• Or, 4 years Diploma course in Fine Arts/ Crafts from Vishwa Bharti Shanti Niketan
• Or, PG from Drawing and Painting, Fine Arts from a recognised Institution/ University

3. PET:

• D.P.Ed. from a recognised Institution/ University.
• Or, should have held a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from a recognised institution.

4. Librarian:

• Should have working experience of Hindi, English or other Regional Language

Essential Qualifications –

• Should have passed Secondary School.
• Must have completed 3 years Diploma Course in Catering from a recognised institution by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of State/ India.
• Or, the candidates should have a Trade proficiency Certificate in Catering with 10 years (at least) of service in Defence Services of the regular establishment (this is for Ex-Servicemen)
• Or, passed Class XII (Senior Secondary) or equivalent and a one-year diploma in Catering (or equivalent) with 3 years experience in Catering from a recognised hotel/ institution.
• Or, passed Sr. Secondary, i.e. Class 12^th from CBSE with Hotel Management and Catering (Vocational Subject) and must have got one-year catering experience.

Upper Age Limit –

(h) NVS Recruitment Eligibility Criteria for Lower Division Clerk (Post Code: 26):

Essential Qualifications –

• The candidates must have passed Class 12^th (Sr. Secondary) from CBSE/ State Government with Secretarial Practices and Office Management (Vocational Subjects)
• Or, passed Class XII (Senior Secondary) from a recognised Board (50% marks in aggregate) and displaying a typing speed of 30 words (English) per minute or 25 words (Hindi)

Desirable Qualifications –

• Working experience in administrative matters/ accounts in Autonomous/ Govt. / Semi Govt. Organization
• Computer knowledge

Upper Age Limit –

• Between 18 years and 27 years

NVS Recruitment 2022 Age Relaxation:

NVS Recruitment 2022 Selection Procedure

The selection procedure of NVS 2022 recruitment largely depends on the performance of the candidates in written examination, i.e. CBT, followed by Personal Interaction/ Interview put together. However, this does not apply to all the posts. Moreover, the Navodaya Vidyala Samiti decides the cut-off marks in CBT and interview separately.

• Selection Procedure for posts including Female Staff Nurse, Legal Assistant and Catering Assistant is done based on performance in CBT.
• Selection Procedure for posts including Lower Division Clerk is done based on performance in CBT. The shortlisted candidates will further be called for Skill Test (qualifying in nature and carries no weightage).

Note: As per the official Information Bulletin of NVS Recruitment 2022, “The mode of selection, whichever so, for all the notified posts will be the sole discretion of NVS and may be changed.”

NVS Recruitment 2022 Application Process

To apply for a particular post, candidates are advised to visit the official website and apply online at www.navodaya.gov.in. There is no other mode of submitting the application. Ensure that you have got a valid personal email ID to fill in the application form. Create one if you don’t have any. Fill in all details carefully, remit the application fee as prescribed, submit the application form and take a printout of the same.

• Login credentials will be sent on the registered email ID and mobile number.

• Documents such as photos, signatures and other details must be uploaded as per the prescribed format.

Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti selects candidates to fill in various posts to be posted in Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, Regional Offices and HeadQuarters. Those appearing for the exam may like to look at the salary slab for the concerned posts. The vacancies are announced along with the official notification.

NVS Recruitment 2022 Cities (Venues)

NVS will conduct the recruitment examination in 42 cities across the country. However, “the centre for the written examination/ CBT for the post of Assistant Commissioner & Legal Assistant will be at Delhi/ NCR only,” states the official website. Candidates can have their preferences while filling up the application form. Nonetheless, NVS has the right to decide the venue depending upon the availability of seats at any particular venue.

NVS Recruitment 2022 Admit Card

The NVS Recruitment 2022 admit card will be made available on the official website two/three weeks before the exam. The Information Bulletin says, “No candidate will be permitted for the written examination/ CBT without the proper Admit Card.” Visit the NVS website and download the hall ticket. The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti will release the result of the computer-based test (CBT) for the recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) on the official website. Candidates who had appeared in the CBT exam can check their NVS PGT Result 2022 by using their registration number.
