National Institute of Design - Design Aptitude Test (NID- DAT) is a national-level exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate design courses offered by the National Institute of Design at its campuses across the country. Pattern for NID DAT Main Phase
After clearing the preliminary exam, candidates have to appear for the Main exam. The exam is generally conducted in offline mode, however, due to COVID 19, it has been conducted in the online mode for the last two years. The Main exam comprises a studio test and personal interview round. Other details are as follows.

NID Entrance Exam 2023 Eligibility
Candidates must make sure that they meet the eligibility conditions before filling the application form. Here are the details about the age limit, minimum qualification, etc.
Educational Qualification
Must have passed class 12th examination (any discipline - Science, Commerce, Arts, Humanities( from a recognized board. Those who are currently appearing in the class 12th exam are also eligible for the entrance exam.
Age Limit
Candidates belonging to the General and General EWS categories must be 20 years of age on or before 30th June 2022. Those belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC-Non Creamy Layer categories will get 3 years relaxation and PWD category candidates will get 5 years relaxation.
NID Entrance Exam 2023 Application Process
The application process for NID DAT 2022 has started on 5th October 2021. The application forms will remain available on the official website till 30th November. Candidates must fill the forms before the last date. Candidates will also be allowed to submit the applications after the last date on paying a late fee amount.

Application Procedure

- Visit the official website https://admissions.nid.edu/NIDA2022/.
- Complete the registration process by providing a valid email ID and mobile number.
Fill the NID DAT Application Form
- After the registration is complete, log in using your credentials.
- Provide information related to education, work experience, personal details, etc.
- Click the ‘Save & Proceed’ button to save the information. You will be taken to the document upload section.
Upload the Required Documents
- Upload the scanned images of the documents mentioned above.
- Make sure the documents are uploaded in their respective fields.
Pay the Application Fee

NID DAT 2022 Admit Card
The DAT exam 2022 admit card will be released by NID on the official website on 23rd December 2021. Candidates will be able to download the admit card only through the online mode using their log-in credentials. The admit card is an important document for appearing in the examination. It needs to be carried to the exam hall. Steps to download the NID DAT 2022 admit card are as under:

NID DAT 2022 Answer Key
The NID DAT 2022 answer keys will be released online on the official website in January/ February 2022. The answer key has correct answers for the questions asked in the exam. If students find any discrepancies in the answer key, the same must be reported to the authorities with appropriate proof.
NID DAT Result 2022
The NID DAT final result 2022 will be released in April/ May 2022 on the official website. The result for the preliminary phase exam will be announced in January/ February 2022. Those who pass the preliminary exam become eligible for the Main exam. The result can be checked using the login credentials.
NID DAT 2022 Cut Off
NID DAT cut-offs are the minimum marks required to be secured to clear the exam. NID DAT 2022 Counselling
NID will conduct the DAT 2022 counselling at one of its campuses. Those who have cleared the Preliminary and Main phase exam will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Candidates are required to carry the original documents for verification and pay the admission fee to confirm the allotted seat. A provisional counselling letter will be issued for participating in the counselling process. Details related to the process will be mentioned in the letter.
