UPSC CDS (I) Examination 2018 Online Registration Begins
Application Process has begun for the UPSC CDS (I) examination 2018. The last date for submitting the applications is 4 December 2017.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited the applications for Combined Defence Services (CDS) – I examination for the year 2018. The notification also invites applications for SCC Women (Non-Technical) entry. Eligible candidates can apply for the exam through the official website www.upsc.gov.in. The last date for submitting the application form is 4 December 2017 (till 6 PM.)
How to Apply for UPSC CDS (I) Exam 2018?
- Visit the official UPSC website; www.upsconline.nic.in.
- Click on the link “Online Application for Various Examination of UPSC”.
- The registration process includes two phases – Part I and Part II. Candidates are required to complete both the part to complete the registration process. Start with Part I and provide all the details.
- Check the details carefully before final submission.
Candidates are required to pay a registration fee of ₹ 200 (two hundred). Female/SC/ST candidates are exempted from the payment of fee. Fee can be paid through internet banking, using credit or debit card or through cash paid at your nearest SBI branch.

Eligibility Criteria
Make sure you fulfil the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Non-fulfilment of eligibility will result in cancellation of candidature at any stage of the examination process.
For Indian Military Academy
- Graduation degree (in any stream) from a recognised institute/university.
- Unmarried male candidates born not before 2 January 1995 and not after 1 January 2000.
For Naval Academy
- Engineering degree from a recognised institution.
- Unmarried male candidates born not before 2 January 1995 and not after 1 January 2000.
For Air Force Academy
- Engineering or graduation degree from a recognised institute with Mathematics and Physics at 10+2 level
- 20 to 24 years of age as on 1 January 2019 (Candidates holding a current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is entitled to upper age relaxation upto the age of 26 years.)
For Officers Training Academy
SSC Program for Men
- Graduation degree (any stream) from a recognised institute.
- Unmarried male candidates born not before 2 January 1994 and not after 1 January 2000.
SSC Program for Women
- Graduation Degree (any stream) from a recognised institute.
- Unmarried women, issueless widows who haven’t remarried and issueless divorcees (divorce documents required) who haven’t remarried.
- Candidates born not before 2 January 1994 and not after 1 January 2000.
Candidates who qualify the written examination are called for the interview round by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC).
