SSC JHT Notification Postponed - Eligibility and Pattern
Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has delayed the SSC JHT notification 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The notification was scheduled to be released on 17th April 2020. SSC has not provided any update on the next date of release.
SSC JHT exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission for recruitment of Senior Hindi Translator, Junior Hindi Translator, and Hindi Pradhyapak in various ministries of the Government of India. The details of various posts under the SSC JHT exam are as under:

SSC JHT 2020 Eligibility
Age Limit
The age limit should not be exceeding 30 years. Reserved category candidates get relaxation in the upper age limit. The same can be checked in the official notification.
SSC JHT Qualification
Senior Hindi Translator in Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Offices
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory subject at Bachelor’s level
and
- Diploma/ Certificate in translation from Hindi to English & vice-versa or three years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English & vice-versa in State or Central Government Offices.
Junior Translator in Armed Forces Headquarters/ Junior Translator in CSOLS/ Junior Translator in M/o Railways/ Junior Translator/ Junior Hindi Translator in subordinate offices
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory subject at Bachelor’s degree level
and
- Diploma/Certificate in translation from Hindi to English & vice-versa or two years’ experience of translation work from Hindi to English & vice-versa in State or Central Government Offices.
Hindi Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute
- Bachelor’s degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects (compulsory or optional) and a Master’s degree in any subject and Bachelor of Education from a recognised University.
- Desirable - Two years of experience in teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary level under State or Central government.
