Last Modified: 27 Jul 2024

The Railway Board has postponed the second stage ALP exam. It will be conducted on 24 December 2018.

14th November 2018: Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have re-scheduled or postponed the second stage Assistant Loco Pilot and Technician exam due to the ‘clashing of dates with the CBT for CEN 02/ 2018’. Previously, the RRB ALP 2nd stage CBT 2018 exam had been scheduled to be held on 12 December 2018. After the deferment, it will be conducted on December 24, 2018.

With the change of exam dates, the ALP second stage admit card 2018 dates have also been altered. The hall tickets will be accessible 4 days prior to the commencement of the exam. Applicants will be notified about the availability of admit card through a notice on the official website, email and SMS.

Reason behind Date Change

As per the notice released by RRB, “RRBs have received representations requesting postponement of 2nd Stage CBT on account of clashing of dates with the CBT for CEN 02/ 2018 and/ or academic examinations. In view of the above, the 2nd stage CBT scheduled earlier from 12th December is postponed and shall now start from 24th December 2018.

After publishing the list of provisionally selected applicants taking the Second Stage Computer-based Test on the website, RRBs received ‘representations’ from applicants ‘raising issues on answer keys and translation in few of the questions.’ Railway Recruitment Boards will now publish the revised scores and the list of provisionally shortlisted candidates again.
