GATE 2020 Result Released – Score Cards and Cut-Off Marks
GATE 2020 result is now available at the GOAPS portal. This year around 18.8% candidates have qualified the exam.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has released the scorecards for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2020 on the official website. Candidates who have qualified the exam can check their GATE 2020 result and download GATE 2020 scorecards online from the official website – http://appsgate.iitd.ac.in.
Steps to Download GATE 2020 Scorecard
Participants who had appeared in the GATE 2020 exam can check their GATE result by using the right steps. Follow the steps to download the GATE 2020 scorecard:
- Go to the GATE official website.
- The link ‘Qualified Candidates: To download your Score card: Please click here’ will appear on the home-page.
- Click it and you will be re-directed to GOAPS portal.
- Submit the registration ID and password to log-in.
- Check the scorecard details, download, and take a print.
GATE 2020 Scorecard Details
The GATE scorecard will contain the following details:
- Candidate’s Name
- Registration Number
- Examination Paper
- Candidate’s Photograph and Signature
- Marks scored (out of 100)
- Qualifying marks
- GATE Score
- All India Rank in the paper
- Number of candidates appeared for that paper
- The validity of the scorecard
- Calculation of Normalized Marks
Candidates can download the scorecard from 14th March 2020 and will available till 31st March 2020. Those who cannot be able to download the scorecard within the given timeline then they can obtain the same by paying ₹ 500 (Five Hundred). As per the official information bulletin, “There is no provision for the issue of hard copies of the GATE Scorecards.”

GATE 2020 Scorecard Validity
The GATE scorecard remains valid for three years from the date of result declaration. The scorecard can be used to take admission to Master’s and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and other branches of Science. The GATE scorecard is also applicable for PSU recruitment process.
GATE 2020 Result
The GATE 2020 result had announced on 13th March 2020. Candidates can check the result using the steps mentioned below:
- Go to the official GATE website.
- Find the link for GATE 2020 Result. Click it.
- You will be re-directed to the GOAPS portal.
- Enter your log-in details and submit.
- The result will appear on the screen stating whether the candidate has qualified the exam or not.
GATE 2020 Cut-Off
GATE cut-off is the minimum score needed to qualify the exam. The GATE cut-off is subject-specific i.e. the cut-off marks vary for different subjects. The cut-off depends upon previous years’ cut-off trends, the category of candidates, the performance of the candidate in the exam, etc. Colleges release their individual cut-offs for admission which is different from the GATE cut-off.
