Online Registration Process for GATE 2019 from 1st September – Statistics Paper Added
GATE 2019 online registration process will begin from 1st September 2018. The exam is scheduled to be held in February 2019.
17th August 2018: Indian Institute of Technology, Madras has released the official notification for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 Exam. Aspirants can check the detailed notification at the official GATE website - http://gate.iitm.ac.in/. The exam is scheduled to be held on 2nd, 3rd, 9th, and 10th February 2019 in selected cities in India and overseas at Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Colombo (Sri Lanka), Dubai (UAE), Dhaka (Bangladesh), Kathmandu (Nepal), and Singapore.
Who can apply?
Candidates with UG and PG degrees are eligible to apply for the exam.
How to apply for GATE 2019?
- Go to GATE’s official website - http://gate.iitm.ac.in/
- Click on the link to apply for GATE, you will be redirected to the GOAPS portal.
- Click on ‘New User? Register Here’ and complete the registration process.
- You will receive the registration ID and password.
- Log-in with your registration ID and password to complete the application process.
- Provide the personal and educational details, upload the scanned images of your photograph and signature, choice of examination centre, etc.
- Make fee payment and review the completed form.
- Save the form and take a printout of the completed form.

New Paper Introduced
Statistics has been added as the new subject for GATE 2019. From this year, the exam will be conducted for 24 subjects. However, candidates can appear only for one subject/paper of the GATE examination.
