Suspense continues for Class 12th Students: CBSE Board Exam Results 2017 Delayed
CBSE board results delayed for class 12th for the year 2017. The results were scheduled to be declared on 24 May (Wednesday), but the board has withheld the results. There is no information on the result announcement date, but official sources said that the CBSE board will put a notification on the official website (cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in) 24 hours before the declaration of results. A board official also informed a newspaper that results would not come out before Friday.
The delay in the CBSE results happened due to the Delhi High Court’s order to the board to do so. The HC asked the board to retain its ‘marks moderation’ policy for the present academic year. It said that discarding the policy this year would have ‘drastic effect on the students’. It also said that board’s decision was ‘unfair and irresponsible.’ As per the HC, the board can cut off the policy from 2018 onwards.
The delay in CBSE board results has added pressure on the board. Adding to this, admission process has already started for Under-graduate courses in reputed institutions like Delhi University.
