Be well-equipped with the pattern to ace the exam. It consists of 200 questions (MCQ) with negative markings; candidates must be aware of making the right moves. For each incorrect answer, there is a 25% negative marking – 4 marks for the correct answer & 1 mark negative marking for the wrong answer. Not attempting questions will result in zero marks. Other than that, there’s not much to worry about. English is the medium of the exam. Ensure that you are proficient at this. The exam will be held on a single day in one session.

• Think smartly, as these exams are planned to judge smartness and knowledge. Try to think what kind of questions can be asked, what pattern was followed till now, and what the chances of questions getting repeated. One can do this analysis only when one has studied smartly and wisely.
• Know the syllabus first. The syllabus is as per the undergraduate medicine degree as per the provisions of the MCI. Know about the important subject, topics, and sub-topics so that the candidates don’t miss out on anything.
• Focus on the most important subjects first, including Patho, Pharmacology, PSM, OBG, Medicine, and Surgery.
• Complete the preparations for memorizing parts first.
• Solve MCQs as much as possible. Refer to solved papers and question banks for typical questions. As per previous NEET PG Toppers, solving MCQs early on helped them mark the difference.
• Make a note of questions that have been repeated frequently in the recent few years.
• Make time for daily revision of studied topics. Make short notes and bookmark important sections. Refer to these notes and ensure that every topic/subject studied is revised at least 2-3 times.
• Refer to the previous year's question papers of the NEET PG exam. Include them in a study plan to cover the preparations for high-scoring sections efficiently.
• Avoid discussing the preparation strategy, just stay confident and positive about the preparation that has been done until now.
• Solve mock tests online and offline and improve time management capabilities so as to attempt a higher number of questions accurately in the exam.
• Last but not least, try staying away from social media, once the exam is over, candidates can easily do whatever they like, but the time before the exam should only be dedicated to their studies.

Qualification -

• The aspirant should be an Indian national.
• He or she must have an MBBS degree from a national or international institute recognized by Indian Medical Council (MCI) Act, 1956.
• Must hold a one-year internship.
• Students about to complete a one-year internship or are still pursuing their internship will also be considered eligible to apply National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Post Graduate
• Aspirants who have passed or studied MBBS from Jammu & Kashmir, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh won’t be considered eligible for all India 50% quota seats.
• Candidates applying for the exam must understand that an incomplete application or application filled not in accordance with the given instructions will not be considered valid

There’s no lower age bar for NEET PG 2023. Anyone who meets the criteria mentioned above can appear for the exam.

NEET PG Exam 2023 Application Process

The application process for NEET PG is conducted online through the official website of the NBE, i.e., nbe.edu.in. Eligible and intending candidates will be able to apply online for the NEET PG 2023 examination from 7th January 2023 onwards. The last date for the application submission is 27th January 2023. How to Apply for NEET PG 2023 Online?

• Before you go ahead and create an account or profile using valid registration details like username and password, make sure that you have got a thumb impression, scanned photocopy, and other important documents handy.
• Fill in the required details that ask for your personal details, academic details, and address. Also, provide information like Internship details, MBBS degree, complete data, etc.
• It is suggested that candidates should use their active mobile number to receive all important notifications related to application status via SMS.
• Choose your preferred exam center and upload all the documents (photo, signature, MCI/SMC certificates, Photo ID, etc.)
• Make the fee payment online through a credit or debit card.
• Take an overview before the final submission.

NEET PG Exam 2023 Other Details

NEET PG 2023 Admit Card -

Applicants can avail/ download the admit card from the official website, as the exam is going to be commenced on 5th March 2023. Here are the steps to download:

• Visit the official website (mentioned above).
• Login with your registered username and password.
• Click on the download button and save it from getting a print.

Produce one photo ID (Passport, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or PAN Card), and the printed admit card at the exam center. Make sure you have attached a passport-size photograph to the admit card. Entrance to the exam hall is prohibited without the documents mentioned above.

NEET PG 2023 Counselling -

MCC is conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG counselling 2023 for admission in 50% AIQ PG medical and dental seats like MS/ MD and PG diploma courses. A total of 89,549 students have been qualified to participate in the NEET PG counselling 2023.

The counselling of NEET PG would majorly be done based on marks scored in the exam. A merit list will be prepared, which will further be categorized into All India 50% quota rank, All India NEET PG 2023 rank, and Private or State Medical College rank. Admission is based on the ranks, seat availability, and filled preference (candidates are advised to give their preference in selecting colleges and courses).

NEET PG Counselling 2023 (Round-1) – How to Report?

The Medical Counselling of India launched an online reporting portal for the students who secured a seat at prominent Medical/Dental institutes or colleges through NEET PG Counselling 2023 Round-1. By opting for online reporting, applicants are required to send a confirmation email regarding the acceptance of a seat and upload scanned copies of the relevant documents.
