Main Exam Pattern

The Main exam pattern for the different zones is different. The exam will be conducted online. The medium of the exam will be English/ Hindi except for language tests. Each question will be of 1 mark. There will be negative markings in the exam. 1/4th mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The syllabus for the LIC Assistant exam is provided based on the previous years’ question papers. Candidates are advised to solve sample papers, previous years’ question papers and mock tests for a better understanding of the syllabus and exam pattern.

LIC Assitant Preliminary Exam Syllabus

Numerical Ability - Simplification, Quadratic Equations, Number Series, Approximation, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Quantity Based Questions.

Reasoning Ability - Number Series, Puzzles, Seating Arrangement, Alphanumeric, Syllogism, Inequality, Coding-Decoding.

English - Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbles, Error Detection, Error Correction, Cloze Test.

LIC Assistant Main Exam Syllabus

Quantitative Aptitude - Data Interpretation, Average, Speed, Distance, and Time, Time and Work, Approximation, Number Series, Profit and Loss, Simple Interest and Compound Interest, Mixture and Allegations.

Reasoning - Statement Based Questions, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Alpha Numeric Sequence, Coding-Decoding, Puzzles, Analogy, Odd One Out, Blood Relation.

General/ Financial Awareness - Indian Economy, Current Affairs related to Indian Financial System, Recent Credit and Monetary Policies, Currency and Capital, National and International Matters, General History, Biology, Geography, and Applied Science, Awards and Honors.

English Language - Reading Comprehension, Cloze Test, Sentence Arrangement, Sentence Improvement, Error Spotting, Elementary Grammar, Synonyms-Antonyms.

Hindi Language - Hindi Vyakaran, Gadyansh, Vyaky Sudhar, Paadh Bodhan, Vilomarthi, Pryayvachi, Rikt sthano ki purti, Akarthi Shabd.

LIC Assistant Exam 2022 Eligibility

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria carefully before filling out the application form. If the candidates are found ineligible at any stage of the recruitment process, their candidature will be canceled. Here are the details about eligibility conditions:

Nationality

The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit (as of 1st September 2022)

  • The minimum age should be 18 years.
  • The maximum age should be 30 years.

In other words, the candidate must be born not earlier than 2nd September 1992 and not later than 1st September 2004 (both dates inclusive). Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to reserved category candidates.

Educational Qualification

Must have passed graduation examination (10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline from a recognized University.

LIC Assistant Exam 2022 Application Process

The application process for the LIC Assistant 2022 exam will tentatively begin in the third week of September 2022. The registration process will continue till the first week of October 2022. How to Apply for the LIC Assistant Exam 2022?

The application process can be completed in the following steps:

Application Registration

  • Visit the official LIC careers website.
  • Click on the ‘Recruitment of Assistants- 2022’ link.
  • Click on the ‘Next Page’ button.
  • Click on the ‘Click here to Apply Online’ link.
  • Now, click on the ‘Click here for New Registration’ button.
  • Enter the details such as Name, Email-ID, Contact details, etc. Submit the details for registration. On successful registration, a registration number and password will appear on the screen and will also be sent to the registered email ID.
  • Login using the registration ID and password and complete the application form with details such as Parents’ name, academic details, etc.
  • Save the details and move to the image upload.

Document Scan and Upload

  • Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature, and left thumb impression in the specified space. The scanned images should be of jpg/ jpeg format.
  • After a successful upload, move to the fee payment stage. 

Payment of Fees

  • Select the fee payment option.
  • Make fee payment as per your category.
  • After a successful fee payment, take a print of the confirmation page.

The application fee payment can be made using the Debit Card (Visa/ MasterCard/ Maestro/ RuPay), Credit Card, Mobile Wallets, and Internet Banking. The application fee is different for different categories.

LIC Assistant 2022 Admit Card

The admit cards for the LIC Assistant 2022 exam Preliminary and Main phase will be released separately. Candidates can download the Preliminary exam admit card from the third week of September to the first week of October 2022. The admit card can be downloaded using the registration number and password. Paste your recent colored passport-size photograph on the admit card. The photograph must be preferably similar to the one uploaded in the online application.

Candidates are required to carry the admit card, original photo ID (one photocopy), and ballpoint pen. Candidates will not be able to appear for the exam without the admit card.

LIC Assistant Exam 2022 Result

The LIC Assistant 2022 results for the Preliminary and Main phase examination will be declared separately. The Preliminary phase examination result will be declared in the last week of November 2022 and the Main phase examination result will be declared in the second week of January 2022. Candidates who qualify for the Preliminary exam will be eligible for the Main exam. Candidates can check the Sarkari results on the official website using their registration ID and password. The final merit list will be prepared based on the Main score.
