Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges’ Association (KPPGCA) conducts the Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) for admission to more than 189 AICTE approved management colleges in Bangalore and Karnataka. The test is open for candidates from all parts of the country and Abroad. KMAT score is for admission into Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Application (MCA), and Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) courses. The examination is conducted in a single session with the same difficulty level to ensure impartiality. KMAT 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

Getting familiar with the exam pattern will help the candidates in better preparation. So, check out the pattern and syllabus here.

Exam Pattern

The exam will be conducted as a home-based online remote proctored test in a single session of 2 hours duration. This is being done amidst the Coronavirus situation. Generally, the exam is conducted in offline (pen-and-paper based) mode. The question paper will comprise of 120 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) divided into three sections. The difficulty level of the exam will be moderate.

Syllabus for KMAT 2022

Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension

Grammar, Sentence completion, Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms, Comprehension of Passages, Choice of Words, Phrases, Expressions.

Quantitative Ability

Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Interest, Time & Speed, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Tables, Graphs, and Charts. Candidates’ speed and accuracy to work with numbers will be tested.

Logical and Abstract Reasoning

This section will test the candidates on their thinking accuracy. The questions will be based on verbal reasoning, analogy and will be asked separately as well as in sets.

KMAT 2022 Eligibility

The entry requirement for the PG courses is as per the UGC guidelines. Here are the details.

For MBA/ PGDM Course

Must have a bachelor’s (minimum 3 years duration) or Master’s degree from a recognised institute in Management, Commerce, Social Sciences, Arts, Engineering/ Technology with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ ST).

Those in the final year of the above-mentioned degree courses are also eligible to apply for KMAT 2022.

For MCA Course

Must have a bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. Candidates must have studied Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.

KMAT 2022 Application Process

KMAT 2022 application process started online on 6th June 2022, and the last date is 31st August 2022. Candidates are advised to keep the scanned images of their passport size photograph (maximum size 200KB) and signature (maximum size 200KB) ready before applying. If candidates wish to apply for both the MBA and MCA courses, then they need to fill out separate application forms.

Steps for KMAT 2022 Application Process

  • Visit the official website - https://www.kmatindia.com/.
  • Click on the ‘KMAT 2022 Online Application’ button on the top corner of the home page.
  • Click on the ‘Register (New Candidate) option.
  • Enter information about the course applied for, candidate’s name, gender, domicile, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. Enter the Captcha code and select the declaration. Click the ‘Submit and Continue’ button.
  • On successful registration, an application number will be generated. This, along with your date of birth, will be the login credentials.
  • Visit the login page again and enter your application number and date of birth to access the application form.
  • Complete the application form with the remaining details viz address, category, domicile, stream, etc.
  • Upload the required documents.
  • Make the application fee payment.
  • After completing all the stages, submit the application form.
  • Take a print of the confirmation page for future reference.

Application Fee

The application fee for KMAT 2022 (one course) is ₹ 850 (including GST). The payment is to be made through online mode using credit card/ debit card/ net banking.

KMAT 2022 Other Details

KMAT 2022 Admit Card

KMAT 2022 admit card will be released on the official website. Candidates can download the same using their login credentials. If a candidate applies for both MBA and MBA courses, separate admit cards will be released for both papers.

KMAT 2022 Result

The KMAT 2022 result will be released on the official website. Candidates can check the result using their login credentials. The result will be released as scorecards where the candidate’s overall scores and section-wise scores will be mentioned.

KMAT 2022 Admission

After the KAT result is announced, candidates are required to participate in the admission process to secure a seat in their preferred institute. The admission process for each institute is different. Thus, candidates must check the same at their respective websites. Also, candidates are required to apply for the same separately.
