Karnataka Teachers Eligibility Test (KARTET) is conducted by the Centralised Admission Cell, Department of Public Instruction, Government of Karnataka for determining the eligibility of the candidates who want to work as teachers in various government schools in the state. The exam is conducted for lower and upper primary levels. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website of the exam conducting authority. KARTET is applicable to the following:
- Schools of the Karnataka government
- Schools owned and managed by the State government/ local bodies
- Aided and Unaided schools
Candidates can apply to any of the above schools with their TET scores.

There are two papers in the exam and candidates have the choice of appearing in one or both.

- Paper-II is for teaching classes VI to VIII

Mathematics

Karnataka TET 2022 Eligibility
Minimum Qualification for Paper-1 for teaching classes 1st to 5th
Senior Secondary/ PUC with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or
Senior Secondary/ PUC with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).
Or
Senior Secondary/ PUC with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
Or
Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or
Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).
Minimum Qualification for Paper-2 for teaching classes 6th to 8th
Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or
Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) course.
Or
PUC/ Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) programme.
Or
PUC/ Senior Secondary with a minimum of 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A.Ed./ B.Sc.Ed. course.
Or
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed/ appearing in the final year of B.Ed.
NOTE: Relaxation of 5% will be offered in the qualifying exam marks to reserved category candidates viz. SC/ ST/ CT/ PwD.
Karnataka TET 2022 Application Process
The application process for KARTET 2022 will be online. Eligible and interested candidates can submit their applications through the official website. There is no other mode of application submission. The detailed steps for filling the application form are mentioned below.
Steps for Filling the KARTET 2022 Application Form
- Go to the official website at http://www.schooleducation.kar.nic.in.
- Click on the link for KARTET 2022 registration.
- Complete the registration process by providing the details asked for.
- After the registration process is complete, log in using the ID and password.
- Complete the application form with the remaining details.
- Upload the scanned images of your Photograph (size 5 KB to 50KB) and Signature (size 5KB to 40 KB).
- Select a payment mode and make an application fee payment.
- After the application fee payment is successful, take a print of the application form.

Karnataka TET 2022 Other Details
Karnataka TET 2022 Admit/ Admission Card
The KARTET 2022 admit card will be uploaded on the official website. Candidates can download the same using their ID and password. The admit cards contain details such as exam date, time, exam day instructions, candidate’s details, photograph and signature. Details in the admit card are as per the details filled in the online application form. There is no provision for correction in the admit card details.
Karnataka TET 2022 Result
The KARTET 2022 result will be released on the official website. The result declaration date is not announced yet. Those who appear for the exam and secure the minimum qualifying marks can download the Electronic Marks Statement using their registration number and date of birth. No hard copy of the mark sheet will be sent to candidates by the Centralized Admission Cell.
After the result declaration, candidates can download the Electronic Certificate from the official website. The date for the release of the certificate will be announced later.
