IPU CET Exam 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

The University will conduct the exam in pen and paper mode, where the candidates will be bound to answer all the 150 questions, except for English (M.A.) in which there will be 100 MCQs for Part I while Part II will have essay type questions and 200 MCQs for B.Tech (Bio-Tech) CET. The applicants must choose the correct answer or the most appropriate one out of four alternatives. Each correct answer will get 4 marks; in case of a wrong answer, one mark would be deducted. The duration of the written test will be 2.30 hours for 600 marks; for B.Tech (Bio-Tech), students will have to sit for 3 hours. It will carry 800 marks. The test will be conducted in English. For this pen and paper mode exam, candidates are advised to bring a black or a blue ballpoint pen. Look at the exam pattern of IPU CET in the tabular form below.

Latest Syllabus for IPU CET 2022

The IPU CET 2022 syllabus will comprise subjects including Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry based on the 10+2 syllabus. Candidates appearing for the M.Tech programs will have to prepare as per the GATE syllabus. Each section – Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics – will carry equal weightage (33%).

The entrance test is organised for admission to UG and PG courses in engineering, law, management, medical, etc. Each program offered by the varsity requires a prescribed set of eligibility. Take a look at the basic eligibility conditions that an aspirant must possess –

Nationality

The applicant must be a citizen of India.

Academic Qualification

• The candidates should have passed the 12th standard or equivalent exam from a recognized Board/ University.
• Should have scored at least 55% marks in aggregate to be eligible for the B.Tech exam.
• Those who completed the higher secondary exam with a Diploma with 60% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for the B.Tech course.
• Students with a B.Sc degree can also fill out the application form. They should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
• For admission to M.Tech programs, a degree in B.Tech with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate is compulsory.

Age Limit

The applicant must be between 17-21 years old.

The IPU CET registration process 2022 will begin on 4th March 2022 and will continue till 31st May 2022. Keep the documents ready before filling out the online application form. Here is the detailed process for the same.

How to Apply for IPU CET 2022?

• Visit the official website of Indraprastha University.
• Register for the course by providing basic details like name, address, gender, nationality, DOB, email id and mobile number.
• Now enter academic details like qualifying exam, passing year, marks obtained, etc.
• Click on the Agree to Terms and Conditions button and confirm the details provided.
• A login ID and password will be generated and sent to your registered email ID.
• Use the credentials to log in. Select the course that you want to apply to.
• The next step is to release the application fee and complete the process.
• Upload the scanned copies of the photograph, signature and left thumb impression.

IPU CET Admit Card 2022

The Indraprastha University will release the IPU CET 2022 admit card online in June 2022. The applicants will be able to download the hall tickets from the official website of IPU by entering their login credentials. On the exam day, carry two photographs along with the admit card. Keep the admit card until the admission process is over.

• Click on the IPU CET 2022 Admit Card link
• Enter the login ID and password and click on ‘Submit.’
• The admit card will be displayed in PDF format
• Check the details mentioned on the card. If the details are correct, download it.

IPU CET 2022 Result

The University will declare the IPU CET result 2022 soon after the exam. It will be released online, and candidates can check the rank list using their login credentials. It will have the candidate’s name, category, rank, and roll number. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks scored by test-takers in the common entrance test. Shortlisted candidates will be called for the IPU CET counselling 2022.

IPU CET 2022 Counselling and Admission Process

Candidates are called for three-round counselling on the basis of their marks and AIR ranks. A counselling fee of INR 1000 is charged to the registered candidates. Upon receiving an invitation, they are required to report to the counselling authority along with all the required documents on the date and venue of the scheduled counselling. The candidates are allocated seats in the colleges on the basis of their ranks, marks, their choice and the availability of the seats. The counselling process is scheduled to be carried out in July 2022.
