Indian Navy conducts the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) for recruiting officers at Permanent Commission and Short Service Commission. All graduates are eligible for appearing in the entrance exam. INET Exam 2022 Pattern & Syllabus
The selection process comprises of two phases:
- INET Exam
- SSB Interview
INET Exam Pattern
The INET exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) of total 120 minutes duration. 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked from the following sections:

There is a provision of negative marking. One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. Candidates are required to secure minimum 40% marks in each section to qualify for the exam.
SSB Interview
Candidates who qualify for the INET exam are called for the SSB Interview. The venue for the SSB interview is decided by the selection board only. Candidates are informed about the SSB interview through SMS or e-mail. Thus, candidates are advised not to change their email ID and mobile number till the selection process is complete. The SSB interview comprises of two stages:
Stage I - Picture Perception, Intelligence Test, and Discussion Test
Stage II - Group Tests, Psychological Testing, and Interview
The final merit list is prepared on the basis of INET (50% weightage) and SSB interview (50% weightage). Qualified candidates are required to appear for the medical examination.

INET Exam 2022 Application Process
The application process for the INET 2022 exam will be announced on the official website. Candidates were required to apply for the exam only through the official website.
Here are the steps to apply for the INET 2022 exam:
- Visit the official website - https://www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Apply Online’ button on the home page.
- First, you need to register through the Register section.
- You can register with/ without Aadhaar ID.
- Once the registration is complete, you will receive the registration ID and password.
- Log in with the credentials and complete the application process.
- Fill in the details in the application form as per your Matriculation Certificate.
After submission of the application form, it will undergo scrutiny and the application can be rejected if it is not found valid or you are found ineligible.
Application Fee
Candidates are required to pay ₹ 215 (Two Hundred Fifteen only) as the application fee. Women candidates and those belonging to SC and ST category are exempted from paying the fee. The application2 fee once paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. The application fee is to be paid through online mode.

INET 2022 Admit Card
The INET exam admit card be downloaded using the registration ID and password. Candidates are required to appear for the exam as per the date and venue mentioned on the admit card. No candidate will be allowed to appear for the INET examination without admit card.
INET 2022 Result
The INET exam will be conducted on the specified date, and the result will be announced on the official website. Then the candidates who have qualified will be called for the SSB interview round. And, after the SSB Interview, the final merit list/ result will be released on the official website. Candidates can check the INET result using their login ID and password. It is advised to check the result only through the official website.
