IGNOU Admission 2022 Pattern & Syllabus

The entrance test will be conducted for admission to various IGNOU programmes for the January and July session. The question pattern of the Master’s programmes will vary from that of the Bachelor’s. Candidates should read the prospectus carefully before applying for the exam. It will provide information about the entrance exam including the examination pattern. Some of the common areas are - Quantitative Aptitude, Mental Ability, General Knowledge and Logical Reasoning.

The exam pattern of OPENMAT 2022 covers the above 4 sections. It will be an offline exam where students will be provided with an OMR sheet. The pattern for B.Ed./ MBA entrance exam will be the same as the OPENMAT exam.

IGNOU Admission 2022 Eligibility

For Master’s Programme -

• MCA: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree of not less than 3 years. The applicant should have done Class 12^th or graduated with mathematics as one of the subjects.
• MBA: Candidates should have completed bachelor's in any stream from a recognized university.
• M.A.: Bachelor’s degree
• PG Diploma in Rural Development:  Bachelor’s degree

For Bachelor’s Level Courses -

• B.A/ B.Com: Should have done Class 12^th or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
• B. Sc: Must have done Class 12^th in Science or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
• BSW: Should have passed Class 12^th or equivalent from a recognized board or university.

• BCA: Candidates should have done Class 12^th or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
• Diploma in Tourism: Applicants must have done Class 12^th or equivalent from a recognized board or university.
• Diploma in Dairy Technology: Applicants should have passed Class 12^th or equivalent from a recognized board or university.

Or, students should have qualified BPP (Bachelor’s Preparatory Programme) from IGNOU.

For IGNOU OPENMAT –

• Students must have completed a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category)

Age Limit:

There’s no upper age limit set or prescribed by the Institute.

IGNOU Admission 2022 Application Process

IGNOU January 2022 Admission Process -

• Visit the online portal of IGNOU.
• Select the ‘Registration Process’ button to create login credentials - Login User Name and Password
• Use the credentials to log in again
• Provide educational, personal and other important details
• The next step is to upload documents like the signature (100kb in JPEG format), photograph (100kb in JPG format), etc.
• Click on the ‘Declaration’ box
• Go through the details before remitting the admission fee
• Pay the application fee using the debit card, credit card and net banking
• Select ‘Next’
• Select ‘Take Print/ Save’ to get a print

IGNOU January Session 2022 Admit Card -

Candidates can get their admit card downloaded online from the IGNOU official website two weeks before the exam.  To download the hall ticket, enter the registration number, name and date of birth. Make sure the call letter contains the candidate’s details like the name, roll number, exam date, venue of the exam, etc. Carry the admit card along with one photo identify proof while turning up for the test.

IGNOU January Session 2022 Result -

The result of the entrance examination will be announced on the official website of IGNOU after a few days of the completion of the test. However, candidates must take note that the results of different courses will not be announced on the same date. They can check for the result in the ‘New Announcement/ Result’ section.

IGNOU January Session 2022 Counselling -

Qualified students will be called for the counselling process, which will be organized at the respective IGNOU Regional Centres. Students need to complete the choice filling process. IGNOU will confirm the admission only after the verification of the original documents submitted by the candidates.
