IBSAT stands for ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test which is conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (a deemed to be a university). The exam is conducted for admission to MBA/ PGPM courses offered by the ICFAI Business Schools (IBS) and Ph.D. offered at IBS Hyderabad. IBSAT is an online entrance test whose score is accepted by nine IBS campuses at Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Dehradun. IBSAT 2022 Latest Update - The online application process for IBSAT 2022 will begin tentatively from 1st July 2022. The exam is scheduled to be held in December 2022 through IBT mode.
From 2019 onwards, CAT, GMAT, NMAT scores are also accepted for admission in IBS campuses. Thus, candidates with these scores are exempted from IBSAT 2022. |

Exam Pattern for IBSAT 2022
The IBSAT exam is conducted through online mode as a Computer Based Test. However, last year the exam was held as online proctored mode (Internet-Based Test) due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year also, it is expected to be conducted in IBT mode. Here are the details of the exam pattern.

Syllabus for IBSAT 2022
IBSAT syllabus is specified in the official notification for each section. The section-wise syllabus for 2022 is as under:
Verbal Ability
Usage of Parts of Speech; Tenses; Conditional, Syntax of Vocabulary Usage, Sentence correction and usage, jumbled sentences, sentence completion, use of appropriate words, spot the errors, cloze test, use of synonyms, antonyms, and idioms, phrasal verbs, reading comprehension passages, corrections of grammatical errors, fill in the blanks.
Quantitative Ability
Number Systems, Algebra, Average, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Interest, Ratio & Proportion, Trigonometry, Mensuration, Permutations and Combinations, Bar graph, Solid Geometry, 2D and 3D Geometry, Statistics, Line graph, Coordinate Geometry, Modem Maths, Pie chart, Probability, Mixture & Solution / Allegations, Time & Work, Man Days & Works.
Data Interpretation & Data Adequacy

IBSAT 2022 Eligibility
Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before moving ahead with the IBSAT 2022 application process. Here are the details:
For 2 Year Management Programme (MBA/ PGPM)
- Graduation (any discipline - English as medium of instruction) with at least 50% marks or more.
- Should have completed 15 years of education under 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern.
- Those who have not completed Graduation via English medium are required to submit the TOEFL/ IELTS/ NELT score by 31st May 2022.
- Those who are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree can also apply for the exam. Such candidates must meet the qualification requirements before 31st May 2022. The last date for submission of proof of graduation (mark sheets and degree certificates) is 1st November 2022.
For PhD Programme (Full-time/ Part-time)
- Graduation (any discipline) with at least 50% marks with English as a medium of instruction and Post Graduation in Management (full-time - Finance/ Marketing/ Human Resource Management/ Operations from a recognized university) with 55% marks.
OR
- Post Graduation (full-time) in Economics, Psychology, Commerce, Sociology, Public Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or applied discipline from a recognized university in India or abroad with at least 55% marks. Such candidates are required to undertake the first year of an MBA course to continue the Ph.D. program.
OR
- Professional qualification such as CFA/ CWA/ CA/ CS with a minimum of 55% marks.
Ph.D. in Economics (Full-time)
- Graduation with minimum 50% marks and Post-graduation in Economics or allied discipline with minimum 55% marks.
- Applicants must have completed a minimum of 17 years of education under the 10+2+3+2 or 10+2+4+2 pattern.
- Those who have not pursued graduation/ post-graduation in English medium must submit their TOEFL/ IELTS/ NELT score by 31st May 2022.
Note: Eligibility criteria will be checked from August 2022 onwards.
IBSAT 2022 Application Process
The IBSAT 2022 application will be both online and offline. Candidates are required to complete their application process within the given time limit. The registration fee for both modes is ₹ 1800. Here are the steps for both modes.
Documents/ Information required for Filling the Application Form
Candidates must keep the following information ready:
- Aadhaar card/ voter card/ passport
- Valid Email Id
- Educational details
- Debit/ Credit card
- Photograph and Signature in jpg/ jpeg format of 50Kb size.
Filling the IBSAT 2022 Application Form through Online Mode
- Visit the official website at https://admissions.ibsindia.org/.
- Click on the ‘Apply to IBS’ tab.
- Enter a valid email id, mobile number, and postal address.
- After the registration is complete, the login credentials will be sent to your email id.
- Login using your credentials and complete the application form with personal and academic details viz. Name, DoB, gender, address, exam city. Then, click the ‘Proceed’ button.
- Recheck all the details and if any errors are there, edit the same.
- Finally, submit the application form.
- Now, make the fee payment. The application fee is ₹ 1800 to be paid using a Debit card, Credit card, or Netbanking.
- After successful fee payment, the final receipt will appear on the screen and print the same.
Note: The hard copy of the IBSAT information bulletin will be sent to the candidate.
Filling the IBSAT 2022 Application Form through Offline Mode
- Candidates can purchase the application form from the nearest IBS marketing branch to pay the application fee in cash.
- Candidates will receive the prospectus wherein login Id, and voucher number will be printed.
- Use these credentials to log in to the official website.
- Change the password and continue filling out the application form.
IBSAT 2022 Other Details
IBSAT 2022 Admit Card
IBSAT 2022 admit card will be released tentatively in the third week of December 2022. Candidates can download the same using their login credentials. Admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the exam. No candidates will be allowed to appear for the exam without an admit card under any circumstances.
IBSAT 2022 Result
The IBSAT 2022 result will be released after the exam. Candidates will be able to check the same through the official website using their login details. Those who qualify for the exam will be called for further selection rounds.
IBSAT 2022 Group Discussion and Personal Interview
After clearing the IBSAT exam, qualified candidates will be called for the selection briefing round after which they have to appear for the final selection rounds viz. Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).
