Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology (RGIT)

The Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology was founded by the Manjara Charitable Trust in 1992. The founder person of the institute was the Vilasrao D. Deshmukh. The institute offers Bachelors, Masters and Ph. D courses to students.

RGIT: On-Campus Facilities

The students have access to library, laboratories, internet, sports clubs, hostels, and canteen. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

Central Library – There is a huge collection of books at the central library for students. They are given access to the books and study materials online also.

Annual Festivals and Cultural Programmes

Zodiac- It is an annual techno-cultural festival which is attended by students from different engineering colleges of Mumbai.

Icarus – This is an annual technical festival.

Innovision – The Mechanical stream of engineering hosts ‘Innovision’ technical festival every year in which projects are displayed physically.

Dimension 5 – This technical festival is organised by the Electronic and Telecommunication stream of engineering.

RGIT: Admission Procedure

• Admission in the RJIT is made as per the DTE rules and regulations. It follows a Centralised Admission Process. Thus, a student is required to appear in the MAH-CET entrance exam.

Eligibility for the B. Tech Course

• A student should have passed Class 12^th in PCM subjects from a recognised board.

Eligibility for the M. Tech Course

• A student should have done B. Tech from an AICTE recognised college/institution.

How to Apply

• Students can apply for admission in the RGIT through the DTE website, i.e. www.dtemaharashtra.gov.in
• Students can get the application form from the institute by paying the application fee of ₹ 1000 through the DD/ Cash/Pay order from a nationalised bank of India. The DD should be drawn in favour of Principal, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Payable at Mumbai.
