BIT 2019 - Criterion of Eligibility

The norms of eligibility are different for the various courses. All the guidelines of eligibility criteria are set by the trustees and committee members of Bangalore Institute of Technology, Maharashtra.

Eligibility for B. Tech Courses -

• Admissions in the Bangalore Institute of Technology will be done on the basis of the score obtained in the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)/ JEE Mains/ COMED-K Exam.
• The applicant should have passed Class 12th or equivalent in the PCM subjects from Pre-University Board of Kerala or any other recognized board.
• The General Category candidates must hold a minimum collective of 45% marks and the Reserved Category candidates should have at least 40% marks in their +2 examination.

Eligibility for M. Tech Courses -

• Admissions in the M. Tech courses will be done on the basis of the score obtained in the Karnataka- PGET 2018 Exam.
• The candidate should have done B. Tech or equivalent Diploma Course from an AICTE recognized college/institution.
• The General Category students should hold minimum aggregate marks of 50% in their bachelor’s degree.

Eligibility for PhD Courses -

• Students who are pursuing their final semester in the Master’s Degree can enroll for the PhD classes.
• For the admissions in PhD program applicant’s have to study Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, or Geology in their Master’s Degree.
