ICSI has introduced the CS Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) in place of the Foundation programme. As per the official website; “With the introduction of CSEET from February 3, 2020, new registration to the Foundation Programme has ceased to exist w.e.f. February 3, 2020, CSEET is the only qualifying entrance test for registration to the CS Executive Programme.” It further states; “All the students seeking admission in the Company Secretary Course including graduates/ postgraduates, etc. shall be required to qualify the CSEET from February 3, 2020 onwards.” Earlier, the CS programme had three stages - Foundation, Executive, and Professional. Now, candidates are required to pass the CSEET exam for admission to the Executive Programme. Here, we are covering the complete details of CSEET 2022.

ICSI CSEET Exam 2022 Updates –
- The Institute of Company Secretaries of India will be conducting the CSEET exam on 7th May 2022.
- The Institute of Company Secretaries of India will be conducting the Foundation exam on 15th and 16th June 2022.
What’s New? The University Grants Commission (UGC) has granted postgraduate degree status to the ICSI CS programme. The official UGC order states; “UGC had received requests from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) to consider the qualification awarded by them that is CS equivalent to postgraduate degree.” A committee was constituted to consider the requests and with the recommendation of experts; CS was given equivalence to PG degrees. |

ICSI CSEET 2022 Pattern & Syllabus
ICSI CSEET Pattern
CS Executive Entrance Test will be a single day exam. The exam will comprise of the following:
- CBT of 120 minutes
- Viva Voce of 15 minutes
The Computer Based Test will have questions from the following four parts:
- Business Communication
- Legal Aptitude & Logical Reasoning
- Economic and Business Environment
- Current Affairs
The 15 minutes viva voce will be on ‘Presentation and Communication Skills’. It will be 30 marks and will be conducted simultaneously with or immediately after the CBT. Viva-voce will be conducted through online mode using AI or recorded videos.
Computer Based Test Pattern
The exam will be of 120 minutes duration wherein Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) will be asked from four sections viz:

The viva-voce will be for 15 minutes.
There will be no negative marking in the CSEET exam.
Final Score
The final score will be calculated by adding both CBT and Viva-Voce marks. The final score will be out of 200 marks.
CSEET Passing Marks
Candidates are required to score 40% marks on each paper and 50% marks in aggregate to pass the CSEET.

ICSI CSEET 2022 Eligibility
The eligibility conditions for appearing in the CSEET are as under:
- Candidates must have passed class 12th (10+2) or equivalent examination from a recognised board. Those appearing in the examination are also eligible for CSEET.
- All graduates/ Postgraduates who are eligible for direct registration to the Executive programme are also required to clear the CSEET exam.
Exemptions
- Those who have passed the CS foundation programme are exempted from CSEET. Such candidates are not required to pay any exemption fee.
- Those who have passed the Final examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and/ or the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) are exempted from CSEET. Such candidates shall pay ₹ 5,000 as an exemption fee at the time of registration.
Note: Candidates who are exempted from CSEET can directly register for the CS Executive Programme.
ICSI CSEET 2022 Application Process
Candidates can register for the CSEET exam through the official website. The exam is conducted quarterly and the registration dates are pre-scheduled. Documents Required for Filling the ICSI CSEET Application Form
Keeping the following documents ready before filling out the application form will make the application process quick.
- Candidate’s Photograph (size 20 KB to 50 KB)
- Candidate’s Signature (size 10 KB to 20 KB)
- Identity Proof (Aadhaar Card/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Driving License/ PAN Card/ Ration Card)
- DOB Certificate (10th class passing certificate)
- 12th class passing certificate/ mark sheet. Those appearing in the 12th class examination must provide the hall ticket/ admit card
- Category certificate (if applicable)
Note: All the files to be uploaded must be in .jpg/ .jpeg/ .bmp/ .gif/ .pdf format. The maximum allowed size of the file is 2 MB.

CSEET 2022 - Steps for Filling the Application Form
- Visit the official website - https://icsi.edu/.
- Under the ‘Online Services’ menu, click on the ‘Register for CSEET’ option.
- Click on the ‘Proceed to CSEET Registration’ button.
- Provide basic details, qualification, address, category, etc.
- Upload the mandatory documents.
- Preview the application form after all details are filled in.
- Check the details carefully and click the ‘Confirm Application’ button.
- Select the mode of payment and make a fee payment.
- A transaction ID will be generated.
- On successful fee payment, candidates will be intimated about the registration through email/ SMS.
ICSI CSEET 2022 Other Details
ICSI CSEET 2022 Admit Card
CSEET 2022 admit card will be released through online mode at the official website. Candidates will be able to download the same using their login credentials. Admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the exam. Candidates are required to appear for the exam as per the date and timings mentioned on the admit card.
