Recognized as one of the six Indian ‘Institutes of Eminence’ by the Government of India in 2018, BITS (Birla Institute of Technology and Science), Pilani comes to the mind of budding engineers who wish to pursue UG engineering programs in the upcoming academic year. To be eligible for admission to various undergraduate courses, students need to crack BITSAT 2022-23.
The BITSAT 2022 Application Form was released on 14th March 2022. BITS, Pilani conducts the All-India computerized BITSAT entrance examination every year to enroll students in its B.Tech, B.Pharma and M.Sc courses. The national-level BIT Science Admission Test is conducted in the computer-based mode. The purpose of the exam is to test the candidate’s scientific aptitude for various engineering courses. Admission is merit-based.

BITSAT Exam 2022 Pattern & Syllabus
One of the first things a BITS aspirant should do is to keep track of the exam nature. As per the latest update, BITSAT 2022 will be conducted tentatively in the third and fourth weeks of May 2022 via CBT mode. But, as per the latest updates, the exam has been deferred. Talking about the examination pattern, there will be 150 questions from Chemistry, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning, Physics and Maths/Biology.

Important Points to be noted –
- The candidates appearing for the B.Pharma exam should attempt the Biology section, whereas those appearing for other courses should attempt the Mathematics section.
- There will be 12 extra questions in the BITSAT question paper targeting candidates with a high intelligence quotient. These questions will entirely be optional. The candidates wishing to prove merit can take this section. But once they enter this section, they cannot return to the question paper's General Section. Hence, it is advised to enter into the special section only after completing the General section.
BITSAT Syllabus 2022
The prescribed syllabus for the BITSAT exam comprises 4 important subjects. They are Physics, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency & Logical Reasoning and Chemistry. The BITSAT syllabus 2022 is based on the current NCERT syllabus of Class XI and XII.

BITSAT Exam 2022 Eligibility
Eligibility for B. Pharma
- Should have done class 12th from any recognised University or board with PCB (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English. Candidates with PCM subjects can also apply to the Pharmacy program.
- Should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics (whichever they have opted for BITSAT).
Eligibility for B. Tech/Other Courses
- Should have done class 12th from any recognised University or board with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and English.
- Should have scored minimum aggregate marks of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- Candidates appearing in class 12th exams in 2022 are also eligible to apply for BITSAT 2022.
BITSAT Exam 2022 Application Process
Candidates can apply for BITSAT 2022 only through the online mode. The application form was available on the official website. Though offline applications will not be entertained, candidates are advised to take print copies of the filled application form for future reference.
BITSAT 2022 Application Form Process –
- Visit the official website of BITS Pilani - www.bits-pilani.ac.in
- Click on ‘Application form of BITSAT exam 2022’.
- It is a 3-stage process such as Registration, Filling the Application form and Paying the Application Fee.
- For Registration, fill in basic details like name, address, valid email id and mobile number.
- Upon registration, the login ID and password will be sent to the registered e-mail id.
- In the application form, provide all requisite details like educational qualification, certificates, age, name, address, father and mother’s details, etc.
- Upload the digital images of the photograph and signature as asked.
- Pay the requisite application fee to complete the Application Form submission.
BITSAT 2022 Application Fee
- The application fee for BITSAT 2022 is similar to that for 2021, i.e. INR 2950/- for male candidates and INR 2450/- for female candidates.
- Candidates (both male and female) opting for Dubai as their test center should pay INR 4500/- as the application fee.

- Online through the Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
- Offline cash payment at any ICICI Bank branch through an online generated Pay-in-slip.

Before releasing the hall tickets for the exam, the applicants get one more opportunity to correct the mistakes on their application form. The candidates can access the BITSAT correction window 2022 from the official website by using their login details and credentials. Re-submit the form with zero error and be assured of receiving the BITSAT call letter.

After the correction window is closed, the Institute will allow reserving the test date and slot.
BITSAT 2022 Admit Card Issuance
The admit card of BITSAT 2022 will be available online, and candidates will have to log in to their registered accounts to download it. BITSAT 2022 Preference Window
BITS Pilani has opened the window for students applying for admissions to enter the class 12 exam marks and the preferences for the degree programs. As of now, candidates who applied for the BITSAT 2022 exams need to upload their class 12 marks and fill in the degree programs' preferences via visiting the official website. The BITSAT result in 2022 will be announced in the form of a scorecard. To check BITSAT 2022 results, the candidates have to enter their login credentials.
