The Bharatiya Vidyapeeth University, Pune, conducts a management entrance exam every year, which is popular by the name B-MAT (Bharati Vidyapeeth Management Aptitude Test) or BVP BMAT (Bharati Vidyapeeth Management Aptitude Test). The BVU is deemed University accredited by NAAC with Grade ‘A’.

BMAT 2022 Exam Pattern
The B-MAT exam comprises the following two stages viz.
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Counselling and Admission
Marking Distribution of B-MAT 2022 Written Exam
The computer-based test will consist of 200 multiple choice questions with four alternatives. The exam will be 150 minutes in duration. Questions will be asked from the following sections:

Marking Scheme
1 mark will be awarded for correct response and there will be no negative marking.
Counselling
Based on the performance in the entrance exam, a merit list is prepared. Candidates are required to appear for the counselling process as per their merit rank.

Algebra, Number Systems, Coordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Probability, and Mensuration up to class 10th level, Partnership, Instalments and Payments, Median, Mode, BODMAS, Clock, work, and Time, Lines, Cubes and Cones, Pipe and Cisterns, Time, Speed, Distance, Work and Time, etc.
Logical Reasoning
Bars, Table, Pie-Chart, Graphs, Lines, Puzzles, Blood Relations, Data Structures, Coding-Decoding, Arrangements, Direction, Clocks and Calendars.
English and Reading Comprehension
Reading comprehension, English Grammar, Fill in the blanks, different forms of word usage, word meaning, etc.
Management Skills
Basic knowledge of Business and Management structure.
B-MAT Exam 2022 Eligibility
Nationality:
- Indian citizen
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree (any discipline) with 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST category) from a recognised University. “The candidate should have completed a minimum of 15 years of formal education (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis). The candidates who have pursued their graduation in any medium other than English will have to complete an orientation course in English provided by the Institutes satisfactorily. The candidate who has done his graduation on a part-time or one-time sitting basis or on a two-year basis is not eligible.”
- Candidates in the final year of the Bachelor or Master programme are also eligible for the exam. “The admission of students will remain provisional until the other necessary certificates in original, are submitted to the institute. If the certificates are not submitted by the last date, the eligibility will not be granted and the admission would automatically stand cancelled.”
B-MAT Exam 2022 Application Process
Candidates can fill out the application form within the specified time. The application form can be submitted only through the online mode. Visit the official website for filling out the application form. Here are the steps to apply:
BVP B-MAT 2022 Application Form
- Visit the official website of Bharati Vidyapeeth University.
- Complete the registration process with basic personal details like Name, Email ID, and Mobile number. On completion of the registration, the candidates can access the application form using their log-in details.
- Complete the application form with academic details.
- Upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature. The size of the scanned images must be less than 60 KB.
- Make a payment of the application fee. The details of the application fee are provided below.
- After successful fee payment, take a print of the confirmation page/ completed application form.
Application Fee
The application fee for the exam is ₹ 1700, which is non-refundable. The fee can be paid only through online mode using internet banking, debit/ credit card. Services charges and taxes are to be paid by the candidate in addition to the application fee.

BMAT 2022 Admit Card
- The BMAT 2022 admit card will be released on the official website seven days before the exam.
- Candidates can download the admit card only through online mode.
- Admit card consists of the candidate's name, exam details, date, timing, and venue of the exam.
- It is mandatory to carry the admit card to the examination hall along with valid ID proof.
BMAT 2022 Result
- The BMAT 2022 result will be uploaded on the official website on 30th April 2022.
- Candidates can log in using their details and check the result.
- Take a print of the result for future references.
- Those who clear the CBT are required to appear for the counselling process as per their merit rank.
- The merit list is prepared by the Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune for all the participating institutes and courses.

Important Instructions Related to the Counselling Process
Here are some important instructions related to the counselling process:
- Candidates are required to report at the respective counselling centres on the date of counselling at 10:00 AM.
- It is the candidate's responsibility to check for the merit list publication and counselling schedule.
- Individual counselling letters will not be sent to any candidate. Candidates are required to appear for counselling as per the official schedule. Carry the proof of appearing in the exam - BMAT admit card and/ or application submission confirmation.
- If any candidate fails to report for the counselling process as per the scheduled date and time, it will result in immediate cancellation of the claim of the seat.
- Admission to a course will depend upon the seat availability for a particular program and in the particular institute. Thus, candidates must note that merely appearing in the examination and getting selected in the merit list doesn’t mean that they will certainly get admission.
Required Documents
Following documents (in original and self-attested photocopies - two of each) are to be carried out for the counselling process:
- 5 recent passport-size photograph
- Mark Sheet of the last qualifying examination
- Passing certificate/ degree of the last qualifying exam
- Migration certificate (if candidates have pursued the last qualifying exam from a University other than Bharati Vidyapeeth)
- Transfer/ Leaving certificate
- Character certificate from the last institute
- Affidavit (on ₹ 100 stamp paper) for Gap in education, if applicable
- Caste certificate and caste validity certificate (for SC/ ST candidates)
- Name change certificate for married female students, if applicable.

B-MAT Exam Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, the SC/ST candidates are given relaxation in the total marks requirement in the exams. They should have scored a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in their graduation exams to become eligible for the B-MAT exams.
There are three stages in the B-MAT exams. The first stage is the written exams, and then it is followed by group discussion and then finally an interview is taken.
Objective Type questions are asked in this exam.
No, there is no negative marking scheme in the B-MAT exams.
One should be at least a graduate in any discipline from any recognised University.
One can get the Application form Online or can get it from the BVU, Pune by paying the fee of the Application form.
The candidate should pay the Application fee of Rs 1700 for the exam.
Candidate can apply for the exams online by getting themselves registered on the official website of the BVU. After getting themselves registered the candidates are given access to the Application form. The Application form should be filled with the required details, and it should be supplied with the requisite application fee to submit.
The last date for application submission is 18th April 2021 (first session) and 2nd May 2021 (the second session).
The B-MAT 2021 exam will be conducted on 25th April 2021 (first session) and 9th May 2021 (second session).
