Through YSR Cheyutha yojana, the state government will work to provide employment opportunities to women groups in the state. Under the Jagananna Cheyutha scheme, the government aims to provide financial assistance of ₹ 18,750 per year for the consecutive 4 years. What is YSR Cheyutha?
YSR Cheyutha Scheme is announced by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The aim of the scheme is to benefit women of weaker sections of society, such as SC/ST/OBC/Minority Community women. YSR Cheyutha scheme is under the women’s welfare department of the Andhra Government. This scheme basically focuses on the development of women related in backward communities. All those women who are working in self-help groups will be given the benefit of this scheme. Belonging 23 lakh women of minority communities within the age group of 45 to 60 years old would now be eligible to get a total amount of ₹ 75,000 in four years at the rate of ₹ 18,750 per annum.
YSR Cheyutha 2021 Latest Update –
- On 22nd June 2021, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy, deposited ₹ 4339.39 crores into 23,14,342 beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
- The Andhra Pradesh Honorable Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the YSR Cheyutha scheme on 12th November 2020 (Thursday) to provide financial support for the SC/ ST/ OBC and Minority Women beneficiaries. The year 2021 is the second phase of the YSR Cheyutha.
- The dates for the 2022 YSR Cheyutha Scheme have not been announced yet.
Through this scheme, the Chief Minister aims to provide economic benefits to women from weaker sections of the society like SC / ST / OBC / minority community women.

More about The YSR Yojana
Women from economically weaker sections in the Andhra Pradesh state now no need to worry about their financial problems because the Andhra Pradesh state has come up with a wonderful scheme that will help all of these groups of women to create their own employment opportunities. The name of the scheme is YSR Cheyutha Scheme. Through the implementation of the scheme, there will be many benefits available for women. It is to be noted that all those women who become eligible after attaining 45 years of age as of 12th November of every year will receive benefits from this scheme. The upper age limit for the scholarship scheme is 60 years. The amount would be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiary.
Objective of the Scheme
The objectives of the scheme are as follows:
- Benefits of ₹ 75000 will be given to the ladies recipient of Andhra Pradesh under the YSR Cheyutha plan.
- ₹ 75,000 will be disbursed in four equivalent instalments of ₹ 18,750 per annum for 4 years.
- The sum will be directly transferred to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
- Recipients include ladies from low-pay groups and those in adverse monetary conditions.
- Under the scheme, women belonging to scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, other backward classes, or minorities will be motivated to move forward on the path of development. The scheme aims at empowering women.
YSR Cheyutha Yojana Benefits 2022
- An assistance of ₹ 75,000 will be provided to the women beneficiary covered under the YSR Cheyutha scheme of Andhra Pradesh.
- The amount of the scheme will be distributed in four equal instalments of ₹ 18,750 each per year. The amount will be transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiary party.
- For the benefit of women, the scheme has been enhanced. With the scholarship amount of rupees 75000, women will be going to get the economic benefits from the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The beneficiary includes the women under the very low-income group and backward economic conditions.
- The reward will continue over a period of four years and will be provided to the women beneficiary in four equal instalments.
- The amount will be transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiary party.
Eligibility Criteria For YSR Cheyutha Scheme
In order to apply online, one must fulfil the below-given eligibility norms:
- The applicant woman should be aged between 45 to 60 years old and should be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- The total family income should be under 10000 ₹ for Woman who is living in the Rural Areas and the family income should be less than 12000 ₹ for the woman who is living in urban areas.
- No person in the family should be a government employee.
- The applicant family shouldn’t have a four-wheeler (Taxi, Auto, and Tractor are exempted from this).
- Monthly Power Consumption of the applicant should be less than 300 Units per month for YSR Cheyutha Scheme.

Candidates can get their YSR Cheyutha application downloaded only via online mode.
- Visit the official website of the AP government i.e. http://navasakam.ap.gov.in/.
- Inside the website, there is a link related to the ‘YSR Cheyutha Scheme’, click on that link.
- Then click on the ‘Apply Now’ option, and the application form will open.
- The candidate has to fill that form by entering the required details including Name, Father Name/ Husband Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Caste, and after that click on the Submit button.
- Now, upload all the asked documents.
- In this way, your application/registration under the scheme will be completed.

The state government of Andhra Pradesh will transfer the amount of ₹ 18,750 directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries who belong to SC, ST, BC, and minority communities and who are in the age group from 45 years to 60 years.
