WBJEE 2020 Counselling Process: 1st Round Counselling Results Announced

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board has formally declared the WBJEE 2020 Counselling Result for the 1st Round. The counselling result for first round has been announced as a seat allotment result for round 1 and candidates who participated in the WBJEE 2020 counselling process can now check their seat allotment status online. Candidates have an option to both accept and freeze the seat, or accept with an option for a possible upgrade in line with the preferences provided by them, if a seat opens up later. Candidates who participated in the 1st Round of Counselling can check their selection status for WBJEE 2020 by logging onto exam portal, the link for the same is wbjeeb.nic.in.

Accept Allotted Seats by 5th September

The WBJEE 2020 Counselling Results has been declared as seat allotment for candidates; hence, candidates have been provided seats in various engineering colleges across the state on the basis of their application details and preferences. Interested aspirants have been provided time until 5th September 2020 by when they have to confirm their admission. As part of the confirmation process, candidates need to upload the necessary documents and submit the requisite amount of admission fees before the deadline. Details about the documents that need to be submitted and the amount of fees that has to be paid will be mentioned in the provisional seat allotment letter.

2nd Round of WBJEE Counselling To Begin on 11th September 2020

After the completion of the document verification and admission fee formalities for the 1st Round of counselling, the Board will commence the 2nd Round of Counselling from 11th September 2020 onwards. Candidate who have not been allotted seats in the 1st Round are required to register themselves as a fresh applicant for the 2nd Round and provide their preference of colleges for counselling rounds.

WBJEE 2020 Counselling Procedure -

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board is the conducting body of WBJEE counselling in online mode and the process will be spread across four steps. Take a look at the below steps to participate in WBJEE 2020 counselling:

Step 1: Register for WBJEE counselling 2020

The initial step for willing to take part in the exam counselling is online registrations. Candidates will have to register on the official website of WBJEEB; the conducting authority of WBJEE in order to participate in WBJEE counselling.

• Visit the official website of WBJEEB - wbjeeb.nic.in.
• Click on the “WBJEE 2020 Counselling link” and register your entry first by entering the required details.
• After WBJEE 2020 registration, go ahead and pay the fee.

Step 2: Pay WBJEE counselling fee

WBJEE 2020 rank holders do not have to pay any counselling fees. Only JEE Main 2020 rank holders have to pay ₹ 500. After successful registrations, candidates will have to make the payment of ₹ 500 as WBJEE counselling fee. Only those candidates who complete the online registration process and make the payment of prescribed counselling fee will be allowed to participate in further rounds of counselling. Registration and payment of fee are to be paid through debit/credit card & e-challan of Allahabad bank.

Step 3: Complete Choice Filling and Lock Them

Now, all the registered candidates need to use their application number and password to log in and fill their choices for the preferred college and course. Candidates who miss this step or fail to do will not be considered for admission and seat allotment. After the option entry process concludes, candidates will have to lock their choices for the final WBJEE seat allotment.

Candidates who fail to lock choices, they will be allocated seat basis their last saved choices. Once candidates will finalize their choices they should lock their choices, as this is mandatory. After locking the choices, candidates must take printout of the locked choices for further use.
