IFS 2022 Main Exam Latest Syllabus and Exam Pattern (Updated)
Union Public Service Commission prescribed the syllabus for the Indian Forest Service examination. The syllabus is released along with the official notification. Candidates interested in appearing for the exam can download the syllabus from the official notification.
The exam is conducted in three phases - Preliminary, Main, and Interview. The Preliminary phase is the Preliminary phase of the Civil Service Examination. In other words, candidates interested in joining the Indian Forest Service are required to appear for the CSE/IAS Preliminary phase. The Main phases of both the recruitment exams (CSE and IFS) are conducted separately. The syllabus for IFS Preliminary exam is provided in a separate article. Here, we will be discussing the IFS 2022 Main Syllabus. Before moving ahead with the syllabus, let’s have a look at the exam pattern.

Thus, the Main phase comprises of 6 papers. Paper-I and II are common for all. And, for the remaining papers, candidates are required to choose two subjects from the optional subjects. Each subject will have two papers.
